You honesty think Peter Gordon wouldn't be able to rip apart a strawman argument from Paul Connors? The AFL is a pond compared to the stuff Gordon has been involved with. Just ask British American Tobacco or James Hardie. It won't even come to that, it's a shit claim to shape discourse surrounding the trade.
Lol, hahaha

Hahaha cmon Essendon is only concerned with what is good for Essendon. #whateverittakes. Can't believe a club who blatantly cheated has learnt absolutely nothing. But I don't really blame them. I blame the AFL for rewarding the cheating.
11 was on the table earlier in the week but it was never going to be a straight swap deal.

I'm sorry to say, but Jake's issues going public has cost the Doggies some places with the Stringer deal. Everyone in the industry knows this, sorry but it's just the way it is. Revised value a late first rounder not a mid one.

Dogs bawked and Essendon moved the 11 pick on. The Bombers had a shopping list of three players so could not sit on Stringer till Thursday afternoon, just wasn't going to happen. This is not Essendon's fault, at all. Sorry!

Every day and twice on Sundays. Why risk stuffing up 2 trades (Smith & Saad) to get 1 (Stringer) done, particularly when his club is being hard to deal with?
EXACTLY.

Essendon had a list of three players who wanted in. They tried for Stringer first up, spent a week negotiating, and couldn't make it happen. There was a gap. Essendon then had to move on two other players on the list, which appears to have been more sensible dealing for all involved.

Now, we come back around to Stringer and there are less options available. Simple as that.

I seem to recall Bains saying it wasn't going under any circumstances. It was clearly bullshit, but it's the main reason we all followed the exchange so feverishly.
Nah, he said without a first coming back
Oh right, I forgot that because your club won the flag all your opinions have to be right.
