Probably no difference for GWS because you get 15 picks inside the top 30 every year.
Do your research before you sprout your rubbish.

Pretty sure the rest of this board is sick of your trolling. Enough is enough.

You have embarrassed yourself repeatedly over the past three weeks. Just stop. North supporters must hate you, because you consistently give the rest of them a bad name. Just grow up.

That just is wrong. Players and managers often consider a clubs ability to do a deal. Surely EFC fans are waking up to why no one of note nominates their club?
Laughable.

I think you can work out why no player has been coming to Essendon for years. Not that hard.

We've had plenty of players leave in recent years and it always goes the same: player picks club that is offering best money and opportunity, lots of pointless talk, player goes to club.

This will be the same.

I think Dodo has been asked to change tact a bit by the board. Well atleast I hope so
Not true in the slightest. They're huge fans of his work and so they should be, he's done an incredible job. Take one look at our list and what he's had to deal with in recent years (loss of picks, numerous senior players walking out). Hes done a phenomenal job.

I'll say it til I'm blue in the face, the "Dodoro is hard to deal with" is a complete myth. Sheedy used to take a much more active (interfering) hand in that stuff and we had problems. Since he left (which was 10 years ago FFS!!) he's done his job very well. Every time there's a deal to be done, he gets it done. He's no harder (or easier) to deal with than any others. Of course there's always tough, extended negotiations, they all want what's best for their own club.

The only club with a real "tough to deal with" label is Gold Coast, which is an approach they adopted deliberately as they knew they'd be faced with a ton of their kids wanting to return to Melbourne and plenty of clubs trying to pick over them. So they play real hardball.

Above sounds like one of AnticAdrian's lovestruck coterie mates.:D

14 years for 0 finals wins = "an incredible job"
Phenomenal job that all other recruiters would be a fan.
Flags north and Carlton have won since our last one? Zero
And where were you this year whilst we were in the 8? Oh, bottom 4.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what the deal is.

Once Stringer decides where he wants to go, that's where he'll go. It's always the way.

He won't care who can or will do the best deal, particularly after how it sounds like the last couple of weeks have panned out.

They won't even discuss the possible deal. If they want him, it'll be selling him the club.
Paul Connors is well known for his players getting to the destination of their choice, and that means ensuring the destination club has adequate currency to get the deal done.

Haha Geelong.

Always wanting to get players unders expect this time they don't have "He's a Geelong boy" so if Cats want him to have to trade what's fair.
Geelong get deals done. We've got some favourable deals going our way....but we've also traded out blokes like Christensen, Varcoe and arguably Caddy for unders, and gave away Kersten, Walker, and Vardy for virtually nothing.

Instead of trying to squeeze everyone else all the time, we recognise that sometimes it goes your way and sometimes it doesn't, but it all evens out in the end.

We have made 3 prelims while Adrian has being building your list. Do you now have the longest streak without winning a final?

Yeah - he is phenomenal!!

And helps get good players to nominate you..you've brought in plenty of good players over the years and players like Stringer and Devon Smith wanting to play for you.

Even if Essendon fans are right in saying Dodo has done pretty well in recent trades, their ability to lure top end talent has been really poor for a long time now and he might have something to do with it.

The last 'big name' player i can recall was Goddard but he was brought in via Free Agency.
Then they've only managed small deals for players like Stewart and Green last year.

Generally agree but he does tend to play it out in the media more than other recruiters which keeps the perception going.

His drafting record is very good, I suspect since coaches stopped interfering in his picks.

Seems to me like the tigers are in a good spot hear to pinch the package from underneath the pussy cats and bombers noses with the most currency at the trade table .

Pick 15 + Lennon or a third rounder ?

What's up with Lennon just wondering?

I watched a couple of your VFL finals and he looked a class above against Casey, kicked a few, took a couple of nice marks and hit targets inside 50.

At the right club surely he has the talent to make it, but would I guess is it a desire/mental issue?

Again, list spots are tight at the dogs. Likely wouldn't use a 3rd rounder and Lennon another waste of a list spot.

steinberg over parker is probably the only one that would really haunt him.

as for trades, i don't recall the last player who nominated for us. Even before this myth started to perpetuate itself.

Caddy was keen. Hurley and a 1st rounder was a ridiculous demand.
we looked at Boak, Gaff & Mundy before that but all ended up not coming to Victoria and staying put.

Then you had the years where we weren't a destination club with the ASADA investigation, which point to us not being a very well run club.

If Stringer nominates us, it will get done.
11 should get it done.

3 Trades in to the Bombers pre drugs from 04-12. Ah but it's all Sheedy's fault who finished in 07. o_O:rolleyes:

Dodoro may be a good drafter but it's delusional thinking he's a good trader in of talent.

but hey carry on thinking you will get Stringer when Dodoro has rarely, if ever, traded in elite talent before.

It'll definitely happen this year m8. Of course it will. o_O:thumbsu::rainbow::rainbow:

With the Caddy trade, your mob even went as far as pick 19 + Hooker at one stage. At the time maybe it didn't seem like much, but the Suns passed on a AA CHB and then accepted a mid first round pick that we received as Ablett compensation the very next year.

And at the time I believe the media still gave Essendon the 'hard to deal with' label saying we weren't offering enough...
