Good for VFL, but is and has always been a chip kick player. Needs to add some fking value and create / run and carry. Can’t see him adding much at afl level, sadly.

That's a fair assessment.Midfield below Nick is bad. But, I'm not as worried about the defensive mid as you are. Dunkley is great because he's playing alongside star mids. Put him in Carlton and he'd just be another butcher. Get Bailey. Him alongside Nick and then Long, Anderson, Perryman or whoever we play in the role suddenly looks a whole lot better. Our issue is Jordy has lost his agility and has become a witches hat around stoppage. You need 3 good attacking mids and a defensive one - we've got 1.
Do you mean he looked good at VFL level? because his debut game was not good, regardless of the concussion.Looked like a great get in his first year, but hasn’t looked close to it since his concussion on debut.
Hopefully this resurgence in last feel weeks means he gets t back to that level.
Key area he needed to work in is 1v1

Agree, it set him back, whether its confidence wise. But started to look good again late last year, then he broke his ankle. He looked likely in his first year, but since his concussion hasn’t looked the same.
That's strange, as he's playing like he's drinking less beer. When most thought Cochrane or Jiath were knocking on the door, Ryan came out in the first couple of rounds and said: "Hold my beer".
I thought he was playing pretty well until he got hurt in round 14 last year. That put him out for 3 months.Looked like a great get in his first year, but hasn’t looked close to it since his concussion on debut.

Probably more about strategyThe fact Wil Parker is still the preferred defender to come in when a key defender comes out probably means Ryan’s papers are stamped.
Yeah, the strategy is that Parker is the better option....Probably more about strategy
