Jack Reiwoldt anyone? he is the most improved, jamar followed.

There are so many improved players, dale thomas has improved out of sight.

All 3 of the above could be an All Australian come seasons end.

i watched the game i thought sandilands got the better of both the melbourne ruckmen, i dont know why everyone is saying otherwise(maybe due to high standards set) in fact i'm pretty sure he had more hitouts than Jamar and Johnson combined.

Jamar is although probably the 2nd best ruckman in the comp at the moment.
A great story, for a man who has toiled for years trying to play consistently in the team is now reaping the rewards.

jeepers, harsh on Sandilands. He was instrumental in establishing our early dominance. I thought Jamar competed but his influence was well down on his usual. Sandilands was better. Johnson played well, but I thought Kepler was real gutsy playing on late with injury and he actually got a bit of ball.

Well even your own supporter just said he didn't have his best game.

Who'd have thunk it, his best game didn't come against the best ruckman in the league?

I'd hardly call getting 14 more hitouts, and almost double the possessions of the other ruckman as getting "well beaten".

Sandilands is a bit like Carey, he is so far better than the next best, when someone comes anything close to breaking even, they hail it as an annihilation, just as they were in the days Jackovich.

In reality, Sandliands dispatched Jamar today, comfortably.

I don't think that Jamar beat Sandilands but I don't think Sandilands beat Jamar either. Sandilands was doing it all on his own basically against 2 ruckmen. Total hitouts were pretty even between the two teams. Sure, we could have gotten more stats to Mark by not playing Paul Johnson but we knew that Sandilands needed two ruckmen to beat him.

he didn't say touched, he said manhandled

I suppose, but I disagree.

Freo supporters might just not be used to ruckman taking it up to Sandilands as much as Jamar did. Perhaps this will be a lesson to other ruckman, Sandilands isn't unstoppable.

The Russky has taken his place among the AFL's elite this year, no doubt about that.

If he consistently performs for the rest of the year at the same outstanding level he's shown all season, then he definitely deserves AA selection, at least as no. 2 ruck.
