Are they really debuting him due to media speculation/pressure? Beveridge is a joke.

Good point. His selections this year have been a joke, 12-3 and on top of the ladder is great evidence of that. And of course him coming in has absolutely nothing to do with Naughton being out.

I always get them confused. Is that the good one or the bad one?

It's the Coleman Medal leading superstar, so not the one at North, whom to be fair, is really coming on very well as a key backman, it needs to be said

Really hope they play on each other when we play North, that would be fun to watch!

It’s actually not that bad timing. Give the kid a run now then once Naughton is back really crack at getting a best 22 firing by the end of the season

Bulldogs would be wise to trade him this year. His value will plummet if he doesn't play next year, plus they already have the best young forward in the league and Sam Darcy. They should trade him for a key defender.

I watched the VFL last week, he did get horrible delivery.

They ignored a lot of leads and frequently kicked to his feet or over his head. Add to the fact that he has constantly been double-teamed in the VFL so at least he'll have Bruce drawing attention at senior level.

Because our key defence is clearly a serious issue, and holding the club back. We should trade a potential generational talent away to address this or else how will we ever concede the least points of any side, or sit top of the ladder more than halfway through the season?

What a load of dribble. A forward of JUH and Naughton has the potential to be a dynamite duo like Buddy and Roughead at the Hawks.

You never trade a quality Key Forward for a quality backman. You just don't.

Noah Balta if you could get him would be the final piece in your quest for a multiple flag dynasty. Alas he will stay at Richmond

"(Sunday) is his first experience at the (AFL) level and in many ways he'll find it easier on a couple of fronts," Beveridge told reporters on Friday.

"He probably got to the point, just when he was concussed, where he was close (to selection).

"He was playing a stronger four quarters but he had to miss a month because we got shutdown and he couldn't play a state league level, either.

"Now he's worked his way back in to four-quarter outlet and we're confident he will get through the four quarters."
