Kennedy and Seeds will be going to Melbourne and GC probably. We actually rated Crisp quite highly, Oxley we have no foresight on and therefore could end up another list clogger.
Oxley played nearly as many games this season as Crisp managed in 3 years at the Lions. If anything your recruiting department should have better foresight on him than we did on Crisp.

Everyone forgets the mountains of shit we copped for bending over when those 5 kids told us they wanted to **** off. Now we decide enoughs enough, we need to take a stance, we're called idiots for not just copping our pills and bending over like a good little feeder club.

Its ******* moronic.
No mate. Lions hardly a feeder club - turned it around last year with beams, christensen and robinson. Looking like getting a few players this yr as well. Take the good with the bad. Once again already turned the corner and no need to force a kid into draft

Yeah my main interest in this ATM is to see Brisbane supporters reactions to Leemas trolling! That was disgraceful...

On a side note Pickers at 6:15 tonight on SEN will be interesting. I get the feeling the stonekillers comments will be up for discussion :)

Pickers has already been on Trade Radio.

He is trying to play really nise with The Stonekiller.

But Stonekillers don't listen.

They act.

You'll have to use your first on Mills. Two mid 20's picks could actually land you with more points than pick 14. If it's beneficial for both clubs, I don't see why you guys wouldn't go for it.
Why would we rid ourselves of the one pick that has the most points before the draft when we would be looking to do minor trades during the exchange period? We have needs to fill other than getting points for Mills, which we can do without swapping picks with Collingwood.

Non-starter as far as we are concerned

Firstly I would be pretty P!ssed off at your own club. Brisbane should be a great place for people to go and play footy and people are walking out in droves. A very big part of this has to be the enviroment of that football club.
Will people be saying the same about GWS soon too? Or will people start to realise that free agency and increased player movement has become a massive elephant in the room for frontier clubs.

No doubt every club can improve, and we've been doing that to the best degree that our limited resources allow. But people need to stop using it as a catch-all excuse for every player Brisbane loses. We exist in massive media blindspot of ignorance up here.

I heard more media outrage about the problem of young players walking out after two years since Freeman announced his intentions that I have heard for all the young players GWS, Gold Coast and Brisbane have lost combined.

Does Aish going to Collingwood mean you guys can finally stop whinging about the Beams trade?

2 second rounders, use them to grab Bell and a mature Key forward from somewhere.

In terms of the context of the entire trade weeks+academy picks Aish leaving gives us a heck of a lot of flexibility.

Collingwood is pretty far from Norwood but hey, biggest club in the comp, big money, I don't despise him for leaving.

Oh, the clubs full of shit, a trade will get done. Just using this as a tactic to eliminate the "he's out of contract" thing.

Tough for the Lions. Losing him would set them back 3-4 years like Scully leaving Melbourne did. Doesn't need to be a major contributor, but having talent gives you something to build around and improve your depth.

I wouldn't accept anything lower than pick 10. Pies might need to get a lower club involved to land the pick to trade on.
Way overating aish here. Would say that your opinion would apply to somone like hogan, cripps etc. Dont kid urself that scully had any impact at melbourne...

This is a lot more civil than I envisioned given recent history on these boards, maybe because I'm staying off the lions board

You can have Sam Grimley for free. Hawthorn has just announced he's been delisted. ;)

Where are you going to get the points for Mills if he goes top 5 and you want to use pick 14 in the draft?

Jetta comes to mind but it sounds as though you guys are keen on grabbing a ruck from WC.

First they will have to get over the GF losses.

Oxley could go either way imo. He's a good height and an elite kick so there's stuff to work with. On the other hand he's not over quick, not strong and his ticker has been questioned (but not by me). He'd still be regarded as someone who could be a decent best 22 player at the Pies but his value on the market would be very little - I doubt he ends up in any trade for those reasons. I think some Pies just wish that were the case.

We would only trade pick 14 if we got massive overs with points. We would be looking at minimum 2 mid 20's pick at the lowest. (like 24 & 25). The picks would have to be picks this year as well

Bugger off. You West Coast fans said the same thing about Yeo and we got a shit deal for him. Now you guys talk about how he will be the next Nat Fyfe.
Actually, if you look back, most WC fans thought he was a good player. However, as you guys had little bargaining power, we wanted our club to screw you over more than we did. Not because we thought he was shit, but because we wanted the best deal possible. Our club doesn't really do that though, they're too fair at the trade table.

Yeah, the best outcome from this for Brisbane will probably be the AFL finally doing something about what is essentially becoming second year rookie free agency.

Whether it is longer initial contracts, team options or something else, something will have to be done. The draft is beginning to fail as a key plank of equalisation. The exodus at GWS will have them seriously worried too.
Completely agree.

Add into that contracted players nominating (demanding) clubs and it has swung too far the players way.

Yes he did. He added much-needed pace and drive that's taken us 3 years to replace. Came into a *very* bad side so I think you're undervaluing him and the effect it had on Melbourne's rebuilding when he left. Imo going to GWS stunted his development because he suddenly became the highest-paid player with the biggest burden.
