North? How's Aish going to get to North after the stonekiller keeps his word and sends him to the draft?
We all know clubs say stuff they dont mean. Like when Collingwood told us 5pm Friday was the deadline for Beams and when we didnt have a good enough deal by then, we didnt end up getting him. Its a shame, he would have gone well in our injured midfield :(

Not sure how close they still are, but I wouldn't be surprised if North get Trent Dumont on the recruiting bandwagon for Aish.

Both ex-Norwood lads who won a SANFL GF together in 2013, could be a lot more easier to convince him to come along with the promise of playing in the midfield with a good mate in the future.

Brisbane would absolutely prefer a late first for Aish, but as neither the Pies or the Roos have one available, the Lions will look at best available deals. I think two 2nd rounders will be the price in the end
Agree on the two 2nd rounders as per my post you quoted. So other than that I'm assuming you are agreeing with me.

On the rest of your post it is more likely he gets to where he wants to go rather than where the Lions want him to go.

SEN mentioned Bastinac and possibly 38 (465 points) and 40 (429 points) for Aish and a later pick than 40, say Brisbane's 4th round pick of 60 (146 points) Pure speculation of course. The question is that better than just two second rounders from Collingwood? (somewhere between 785 points - #24 and 584 points - #32)

Could be wrong but doesn't his best mate play for Collingwood:)

It is a better deal. Bastinac is one of my personal favourite players. 100 games of experience in a decent team and still very young. One the most natural rovers of the ball ive ever seen. Good skills. An eye for goal. Huge tank. His weakness is speed.

And he wants to play for brisbane. That has to count for something too.

Ill be sad to see him go.

Wouldn't it be better if Collingwood gave you two second rounders and you used #32 on him and kept the other for yourself?

I tend to agree. For Brisbane, it has the effect of a ready replacement for Aish and later picks that will help secure Keays and Hipwood. Seems to be more of a win/win trade, where North get Aish and Pick 60.

Picker$ has said hes open to pretty much anyone that'd give him a game, so hes not SET on Brisbane. But he has visited us, so thats a good sign I guess.

If we traded Aish to Collingwood, I'd say NM would want pick 32 for Bastinac, meaning we only get 24 (785 points) for Aish. When we could get Bastinac and pick 38 and 40 (894 points) with a straight NM trade.

Collingwood would probably need to give up at least pick 24 and 26 before Brisbane would give serious consideration to a trade with them. But even then, it might result in NM being inclined to ask for 26 for Bastinac. Resulting in NM becoming Brisbane's favoured trade again.

NM really might pluck Aish from Collingwood's grasp just because of Bastinac, funny how things work during trade period.

It really does depend on what Brisbane want to get out of it and of course how determined Aish is on Collingwood.

It sounds like 17 could be going for Astbury and 31. I'd imagine the 3rd pick goes for Walker and or Jansen so then it really comes down to what's landing Bell and Hipwood/ Keays.

Does 24 and 32 get you closer or 38 and 40? On a side note I think Collingwood will go two and a player or 3 with change coming back.

What's North more likely to accept? 32 for Bastinac or Aish for Bastinac, 38 and 40? 28 from Collingwood would give us 677 points compared to 748 points. If Brisbane kept 60, the Lions would be gaining 894 points with 38 and 40.
