If we have missed out on Aish. No harm to us. We had a crack. But if we don't trade Basti to the Lions, guess they miss out on a replacement player.

Very curious to know why he's so keen on the Pies (I know we could speculate but has he or his manager stated why?)
Prior relationship with Balme, best friend in Scharenberg plays there, and Buckley was his footy idol growing up, combined with a talented list in which he fits the age profile.

Not really our midfield is our strongest weapon and the reason we should improve next year we have players that missed most of the season in Lester and C Beams who will step up as well as Bell Jansen and Keays so missing out on Bastinac doesn't really hurt us

That's because Collingwood secretly funded breast enhancement surgery for him two weeks ago. ;)
Reminds me of funny but slightly psychologically unbalanced blog that ran a year-long series of posts through 2009 with an alternative history of that season, in which Brendan Fevola getting breast implants was a major plot point. It's main character was a cruel satirical version of Chris Judd so I quite liked it.

Agree Leppa's in trouble if Brisbane don't show something this year. As to Buckley, he's obviously in trouble and hence is sacrificing future (trade picks this year & next) to try & get enough current players & results to save his bacon this year. Big call for him & the club.
Yes we've sacraficed our future big time by trading in a 19 years old, a 22 year old and a 25 year old o_O

It's not a bad thing if Buckley gets sacked. I personally don't rate him as a coach.

When he does get sacked, he will be replaced by a Bomber Thompson (who is very close to Neil Balme) or a Ross Lyon. Those 2 would have us in the Top 4 with the list we are about to have and how aggressive we will be in free agency in the next few years.

Good to see at least one Collingwood fan that understands the reality of the situation.
