Pick 26 and Bell for Aish would be acceptable. We are at the very least not starting from scratch with another kid and 26 could pay for Hipwood or Keays, so either a potential 10-15 year Forward/Defender and a midfielder who could very well be better than Aish anyway.

So win/win/WOO BRISBANE BACKFLIPPED WHAT A SHIT CULTURE CLUB.

Haha i reckon the fact that they backflipped means they are defs on track of being a better club. Maximising compensation in a bad situation

Once they were convinced they couldn't keep him, trading and maximising what they get for him was always the smart move. Don't know why there are 100 pages of argument on this point in this thread.

Not happy with 26 we're getting screwed over again no wonder clubs love dealing with us we either over pay for players or take under's for our own
I assumed it was 26 + another second, either directly or to Carlton for Bell to you.

I'll run laughing to the bank if we get him for just 26, with a tiny tinge of guilt towards the few good Lions posters.

Even though I don't think we need Aish in the first place, surely 26 will be packaged with something else to get Brisbane Bell or something. 26 on it's own would be bending Brisbane over and going in dry. Not that I'd mind if it happens, but it's clearly not fair worth.

Eh, yes and no. Some will say good, you let Aish go and got something in return, others will say we should have stuck to our guns.

Swings and roundabouts in the grand scheme.
Yeh true. Shit happens tho, i reckon do your best to maximise your return and move on. Similar with freeman.

We'll get another pick as part of that trade in addition to Bell. Settle.

It's unfortunate when a player only wants to be traded to one club, you lose any leverage you may have had.

Most players nominate a club so far Aish, Treloar, Howe, Kennedy, Yarran, Freeman, Seedsman, Hampton, Dangerfield, Henderson, Dixon, Bell, Bennell, Carlisle and Jetta have all done it. You could almost say it's the normal thing to do. He's not the only 2nd year player doing it also

Fair enough, still think it's wrong that shitmen who've given their original club F.A. can be so demanding. At Least Danger had Adelaide's best interests at heart. Bit like when Hale let North was happy to go a club that gave North a fair deal.

Just my humble opinion.

Reminds me of funny but slightly psychologically unbalanced blog that ran a year-long series of posts through 2009 with an alternative history of that season, in which Brendan Fevola getting breast implants was a major plot point. It's main character was a cruel satirical version of Chris Judd so I quite liked it.
Whoever wrote that is a sick puppy.

That's why I'm slightly confused about why there is such a fuss about Treloar having done so.

That doesnt mean it IS fair. I think you'll find its less "We find it fair" and more "We cant be stuffed arguing, lets just take the medicine, at least theirs lube involved this time".
I'm surprised. Bell is already of great quality and has potential for more. Then there's a pick 26, you're real winners there if this is it.

End of the day Bell is more a replacement for Redden if anything. Although getting Bastinac will obviously help to if he comes across. In all honestly, I dont think any trade can be seen as fair when its a former pick 7 we're losing, but what we were searching for was something to break even at the very least.

Bell and 26 (Keays or Hipwood) out of Aish would be probably the best result we can get, assuming Bell slots in well and Keays can make it in the AFL.
