Why shouldn't we to try to win a trade for once we're often the ones losing the trade. Aish was a top 10 pick we only want fair compensation a 2nd round pick and Seedsman doesn't quite cut it
Trades should be win win. unless you are essendon.

Btw, agree on seedsman.

You were asked who you thought would be a win. You replied with a list. So obviously your looked at it from a 'winning' perspective.
Riiight... So replying to someone who's genuinely curious about that scenario means I have a problem... Better just shut down my account now.

It was simply an exercise of "if we were to trade for a Collingwood player who would be on the Wishlist" the fact Aish was the potential out on our side wasn't part of the thinking.

Anyway as you said, 2nd rounder + seeds doesn't get it done, you likely won't have any 1st rounders left and there's unlikely to be many other chips to bargain with.

Add that to the fact Aish hasn t actually nominated the pies yet and you get the picture... If he does it will be hard to find a win win.

I'm not fussed by Aish but imo he is going somewhere.

I think the fact we haven't got much to bargain with may just be Brisbanes problem if he nominates the Pies.

I get the feeling the Pies aren't willing to pay overs to get Aish so I imagine our offer will be our second round pick (26ish?) and Brisbane's choice of:
Seedsman
Oxley
Kennedy
Ramsey
Frost
Goldsack
Blair

Possibly Fasolo or Langdon at a stretch?

If Collingwood think they'll make the 8 next year and end up with a pick around 15 or 16 they might offer that by itself

I certainly wouldn't be giving up Langdon.

I doubt they would offer him but if we're really keen on Aish and the Lions play hardball and ask for him we might just pull the trigger given we have Scharenberg, Oxley, and Marsh who can all play that roll

whats the go with Frost? He looked good the few times I've seen him play.
Good honest player, was great in the first half of the season but dropped away a bit. His main problem is he doesn't provide any attacking drive and can be a bit fumbly with the ball in hand. But he's a great stopper and good at killing contests.
But with Brown being a very similar player it hurt us this year as we lacked a lot of drive out of defence, with Reid hopefully back next year and Scharenberg and Marsh capable of playing KPD Frost might find himself in the reserves a few times next season.

Dominates the VFL as a ball winning midfielder, just can't translate that form to the AFL. Mainly played as a small forward with stints in the midfield at AFL level but always seems too rushed and makes too many mistakes, missing goals he needs to kick etc.

Great in a shutdown role . We can't play him and Brown in the same defense. Neither rebound.

I think he's someone who could be traded for his sake. Marsh, Reid and Brown all in froth o him now.

Don't think Ramsay will be on the table. We missed him a lot this year and he just signed a contract extension.

Serious question for Brisbane fans. Would two second rounders be an acceptable trade for Aish in your opinion?
How about we trade you Aish for pick 28 and your 2016 2nd rd pick.

Then trade you back pick 28 and your 2016 2nd rd pick for your pick 7 this year?

By your logic that seems fair:thumbsu:

I think we'd prefer a first. Has he nominated a club yet? I'm hearing stronger and stronger rumblings that Adelaide will offer him the cash he wants, and would be able to satisfy Brisbane's trade demands... If he chooses the Pies, then we have to get the best we can get
