Unless we have a player we've targeted, I think we'd rather just draft picks. Collingwood's second rounder and another pick later in the second round would probably add up to a decent pick equivalent.

AFAIK the "linking" to Seedsman have basically just been echo chambering - starting as "Seedsman might be on the table" through "Pies wouldn't be against trading Pies" to "Lions are interested in Seedsman", similar to the Witts linkage to GWS.
I'm not sure if you're joking there. The Lions and GWS have both expressed an interest in Seed and Witts. It's not just Big Footy scuttlebutt.

No chance we are going to get Witts. If you guys offload him then Collingwood will get Kreuzer, hence Carlton band 1 compo. Bye bye Schache. That's not going to happen.

I think you misunderstood my post. You guys have expressed an interest in Seedsman, GWS in Witts. Witts has refused to be traded though so we'll have to find another way to satisfy them in the Treloar trade.

What will Brisbane want for Aish?
Oxley and 26 do the job?
A potential delistee and pick 26 (likely be pick 27-30 after Academy bidding) in a weak draft, no thanks.

The club will try to trade Aish + Pick 55 for Pick 27-30 (Collingwood) + Pick 25-27 (St Kilda - Nathan Freeman) or 2016 second round pick + Paul Seedsmans.

Pick 27-30 goes to Hawthorn for Suckling and and 25-27 goes to Carlton for Tom Bell.

Brisbane:
Tom Bell
Matthew Suckling
Paul Seedsman

Collingwood:
James Aish
Pick 55

Oxley played 17 games this year. He's not even close to being delisted. Where are people getting this idea about him from?

Oxley is not a potential delistee at all.

I got much better impressions from Oxley given his SuperCoach season but I suppose that didn't reflect how he played in reality?

I thought Oxley was much better then he's said to be
He is a player we would certainly want to keep but he is from Queensland and we're looking for trade items a Queensland club might want. That's the only reason we throw up his name.

Consistency has been his major issue, which is to be expected given its in reality his first season on the senior list. He's had some ripping games and some stinkers. Needs to learn to handle attention from defensive forwards a bit more, but excels as a loose man in defence.

Cheers fellas.

Oxley is more palatable then seedsman in my opinion.

Would still rather 2 draft picks purely for draft reasons.

Suckling is a free agent, he won't cost you anything but the money in your pocket

Would cost us a decent compo pick for Leuenberger though
The reality people often overlook.
If they want a player like Suckling (or another free agent) they might be better off trading for them.
It would certainly be an option that Hawthorn would prefer. Return an asset via trade rather than lose Suckling for nothing.
They may choose to resign him rather than see him walk for no return.
