If Bell going to Brisbane is correct, a Bell for Aish trade could probably work OK. Carlton will pay him big bucks too.
I would feel sorry for both teams if that would happen because it would feel win win but neither team will really benefit to be in a better position.
We need the bottom team to improve their list not just replace.

Aish definitely unfavourited that tweet. Maybe he reads this thread :p

I doubt Aish would go to Carlton if it's true that he wants to "make a name for himself outside of Adelaide."

Just look at the top end picks in Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer, etc. All seemingly struggling with the pressure of such. It isn't somewhere I'd want to go.

Suckling an UFA according to afl.com.
No need to trade for him if Brisbane or anyone else really want him.
Aish may not return what Brisbane are hoping for. His stock will have been hurt by his performance and attitude this season.
Bit like Freeman from Collingwood. Clearly has elite potential and talent, but circumstances might mean he returns a little less than his talent suggests via trade.

If we want Suckling we will have to trade for him. Leuey is leaving as a FA so it will affect our compo.

Strange how Conners was commenting on Aish this morning.
I've just listened to that interview. All it seems Connors was commenting on is that Collingwood are not chasing Aish, because they have a plethora of midfielders with Treloar, Greenwood and Crisp in the mix, (not to mention de Goey, Pendelbury, Sidebottom and Swan). He was using that as a justification for Freeman wanting to leave as there would be more possibilities of a senior game elsewhere.

Exactly.

All he's trying to do is justify Freeman leaving by saying he sees more opportunities elsewhere, which is a massive lie. It has to be about money and an easy-way-out, no hamstrings attached contract offer.

You only start worrying about opportunity when you're getting on the park and playing good VFL footy but can't break into the side (i.e Ben Kennedy, Pat Karnezis).

Does pick 25 on it's own for Aish work? Or do you want steak knives as well.

Apparently Seedsman has asked for a trade but I hope he changes his mind because he does have a bit of talent but on exposed form has poor market value.

Oxley is also mentioned as a possible trade piece. Likewise I don't think he has much trade value and showed enough this season for me to not want him to leave. He cops a lot of crap on our board because he is an uncontested player but his kicking is elite, reads the play well and has good hands. It's something that might turn him into a handy player long term imo.

It's probably about a number of things. More money, longer contract, more opportunities. If I was Freeman, was uncontracted and I thought all of those were better found elsewhere, I'd request a trade too.

2 second rounders seems to be the consensus from what I've read.

Another deal that is thrown around is Hawthorns first+player, for what it's worth.

One second rounder wouldn't get it done in my opinion unless he demands a trade to Carlton and they use the PSD threat

Not really. I'd be looking around for a better trade deal than that.

25 is what I'd hope we get for Freeman (anything less in this shallow draft and I'd prefer we force him into the PSD). I think the best you'll get from us is 25 + Seedsman or Oxley. I suppose we could offer our second round pick as well however (a) could easily be part of Treloar deal and (b) in what apparently is a very shallow draft Seedsman/Oxley may be >>> our second round pick.

I also doubt we want to throw all our picks around when we still have a relatively young playing list and when the draft is one area where we have an edge on most of the competition.

We have academy players to obtain with those picks that would be used in the bidding system
