As mentioned, Pickers playbook 101.

Exactly, it's pickers using his used cars salesman negotiation techniques, he's saying to the AFC they aren't in it because their offer is too small, he's smugly saying "i'm surprised you don't want him more after seeing your offer, looks like the only clubs that REALLY want him are Colingwood and Carlton. I might go see if Port are interested too"

Oh, just that we're heavily into him and have made some solid overtures. Our club has met with Aish both in person and through Pickers.

I would be extremely disappointed if he didn't end up in the tri colours, he's ours to lose. Whilst obviously we'd prefer to keep Dangerfield than to get Aish (if we were to chose only one), if we weren't to get Aish I think that would be more disappointing and a sign that we maybe aren't an attractive football club. If he ends up going to a Melbourne club, that would be piss weak.

The only reason I could accept him going to another club is if they offered him $1+ mill for some stupid reason and we weren't willing to go near it. That's probably fair enough. Can't see a club offering that $$ though.

I'd pay Aish $1 million+

(over 3 years).

Serious question

Will aish be in our best 22?

M.crouch, Grigg, lyons all cant get a game even with thommo, Kerridge and b.crouch Injured.

When he still have Thompson (retired at end of 2015?), Mackay, Wright and CEY (but id rather CEY continued to play) in our 22, then yes, he could walk into our 22 without doing a single thing.

If Aish comes to Adelaide, Dangerfield stays and CEY continues and improves on his form, Mackay is dead man walking when it comes to our starting 22.

Yes ...easily ....at the moment he would take dmac spot ...he has succeeded handsomely at every level he has ever played at and nothing has
changed at AFL level. Don't get fooled by him getting dropped, it's rare that an 18 yr old comes in and plays every game from the start . Even high draft picks like Goddard and hodge never did that .

He's not overly flashy but very polished and has great composure and ball use ...will be a 10 yr player 250 games +

This is off topic but

What has CEY done wrong?

Nothing, don't get me wrong I've loved his recent rise to fame and hope it continues, but as of RIGHT NOW, who would you rather in your 22....

James Aish or Cam Ellis-Yolman

We don't have to worry about right now.

If we get Aish, we get a year of form line to judge CEY.

Besides, if it's an either-or situation, we are doing it wrong.

This talk of Collingwood offering 550k for 4 years is a bit of a worry. They, knowing them, will be mad keen to make a point of shafting Brisbane after the Beams thing as well.

I still reckon though from what I've heard he wants to come home and if thats the case you'd hope he'd be willing to forego a bit of coin for the better quality of life that comes from being with your family/mates. As we've seen with Polec too, that can help you be a better player when everything is ticketyboo off field. Hopefully we can offer more success too. Really want him here. Would be perfect for us, slot straight in and we'd be perfect for him.

Right now? Cam Ellis - yoleman...

Aish has done nothing this season whilst CEY has already equalled aish's career dispoals and clearances highs in only his second game despite coming off gastro.

Aish is an outside mid, CEY is inside... it's like comparing Apples and Oranges.

You know, Ben Jacobs averages more disposals and clearances than Tex over their careers ;)
