we must put everything into getting aish. he will be unbelievable at the crows. our biggest problem is ball use and lack of elite users. look at our good users right now; the only ones considered really good would be henderson, jaensch, smith, betts and grigg (but hes in and out), and brad crouch (but hes always injured). we need james aish badly, would greatly improve our team. also use first pick we have in this draft for an outside player, this year is the year to do so imo WE HAVE NO ONE. look at the best teams, they all have at least 2 top outside players with pace. hawthorn have smith and hill, freo have hill and pearce, sydney have jetta and mcveigh (similar player to aish).

Is he actually quick? From the footage ive seen, which is limited, he didn't really look that fast.

I was more hoping he'd be a Simon black type.

I'm also being told port are leading this race by a whisker at present.

Wouldn't surprise me if Trigg got his act together once he left us. He actually has to prove his worth to keep his job now.

Anyway, everything I hear is about Aish is all about him going to a Melbourne club, nothing about returning home to SA, so I don't know who to believe in it.

What is Pickering great at? Using the media as a deflection to hide where the real negotiations are happening. How often are the media surprised about where one of his players end up at, ala Franklin and Sydney.

We dont need good users of the ball?

Yes we do

But not sure if we need more pedestrian leg speed

I would like to target a player that is the full package that is has speed, makes good decisions and uses the ball well

Don't get me wrong I would be pleased to land him at the right price however I won't die in the ditch if we don't

IMO will have a good AFL career, however not a great career

oh those players. they're easy to get! presuming you're alluding to using dangerfield to trade for an A grader? i can't see how else we're going to nab an A grade established midfielder...

Do you know of any that want to come to us?

Aish is a quality user of the ball, ok so he's not quick and we have plenty of slow players but how many are good users of the ball?

If he does want to come back SA we can't let him slip away

yeah, and considering the number of clubs vying for his services we'll probably have to overpay him.think you're right. He isn't exactly setting the world on fire.

Aish might not be super quick, but he's not slow either, he'd be faster than all of our midfielders other than Smith, B.Crouch and Dangerfield.

Aish is ready to go, whereas spending a pick in the teens at the draft will be hit and miss and take years to pay off if at all. Aish fills a chronic need for an outside receiver with polished disposal. Aish fills a gaping age gap hole left in our list by the Tippet sanctions. Aish is a top 10 draft pick who probably would've gone top 5 or even 3 if not for the fact he wanted to come to us. Aish would be our highest draft pick in fact. Aish is a South Aussie with no flight risk. Aish looks to have a poisonous relationship at his current club and seems to want out. Aish is a lifelong crows supporter with strong family ties to the club. Aish has unquestioned footballing pedigree. Aish has outstanding leadership potential. Aish is a smart footballer and our list is replete with dumb footballers. Aish will be a future A-grader.

Yeah nah, can't see the point in going after him.
