We would also end up in the Supreme Court for grand theft.

Personally im not a huge fan of Aish. He would improve our list but not our best 22 IMO. I've always been of the opinion that if we are to get him then the price should be no more than a low first rounder or high second plus a Wright/VB/DMac type deadwood player we can afford to get rid of but would be of some value to Brisbane.

We have more pressing needs than Aish, not to say he wouldn't be a good get but if there's a bidding war we should sit it out.

Take Dixon talia and motlop off that list and I like it ....talia doesn't add much for what we need compared to what we would give up , back our own guys in and get some cheaper depth in rookie draft or late in draft

Should be able to get Craig bird at a bargain - he's a very solid player that can tackle and run and won't have to give up much ( think we tried last year )

a mate of mine ( mad Collingwood supporter) works with his dad and was adamant a few months ago that he was keen to go to Collingwood or Carlton and has no interest in coming to us. I dismissed it at the time but seems to ring true now. As a redlegs man I don't think I can stomach an aish wearing black and white

For us to become a premiership team, we need to get a few blokes for unders, blokes who haven't shown how good they will be yet. If they have shown something you won't get them for unders, the club needs to take a risk for a big pay-off. For me that is getting the trio Aish, Scharenberg and Toumpas, none have shown they will play more than 100 games but that is the point, thats how you get them cheap, that's why we need to take a shot. If two out of three turn out to be close to the players people thought they could be 2 years ago we have a premiership side. 3 out of 3 we have a dynasty.

In theory it's fine, trouble is when drafted all three were all top ten draft picks. Teams don't give away top ten draft picks for nothing even if they've shown little.
Scharenberg I'm keen on, liked him before the draft and he has shown some good VFL form of late. Fills a need in the team.
I've documented my thoughts on trading for Aish.
Toumpas a no from me. Don't care about a change of scenery he's average. Better players in the SANFL than him..Beech,Chipendale, Habel,Hanson,Cross and a dozen more.
Trading for unders to me is getting guys like Shane Ellen,Caven or Torney. Don't cost the earth but have lacked opportunity.

All of sudden, I feel sick with the thought of an Aish in black & white.
