Id immediately get rid of mackay off wing/hb and put aish there.A likely story
You say that now, but who knows. Where would you guys play him? Whos spot in your 22 would he take? I rate Polec higher than Aish myself.

Yarran anywhere will be great. Aish doesnt really fill our needs atm but has a good skillset and is a top 10 pick.(similar to scharenberg).. Yarran, jetta, dixon, carlisle, m talia, motlop and bennell should be our prime targets.Fixed![]()
No big deal if we don't get him.. he hasn't shown anything that he is going to be a star..
id rather stevie motlop.
We will finish 11th or 12th right? lose danger... so we will have picks 8 and 9 (9 is the compo pick after our first pick for losing danger) and a pick in the high 20s..
we will have draft picks to trade for a ready made player.[/QUOTE
Jay Clarke 'aish to Carlton ' call is hilarious
He must be an old Fitzroy supporter and really hate Aish

They can get both for unders and with the right leadership it will pay off big time.Yarran and Bennell![]()
Eddie!! Get around them! They can get both for unders and with the right leadership it will pay off big time.
Yarran for Mackay, Aish for VB would be a big win
We would also end up in the Supreme Court for grand theft.Yarran for Mackay, Aish for VB would be a big win
I'm guessing he meant on field not as a trade. Otherwise you're correct.
Take Dixon talia and motlop off that list and I like it ....talia doesn't add much for what we need compared to what we would give up , back our own guys in and get some cheaper depth in rookie draft or late in draftYarran and Bennell![]()
a mate of mine ( mad Collingwood supporter) works with his dad and was adamant a few months ago that he was keen to go to Collingwood or Carlton and has no interest in coming to us. I dismissed it at the time but seems to ring true now. As a redlegs man I don't think I can stomach an aish wearing black and whiteAs much as I have total contempt for Jay Clark, several Lions players seem to firmly believe he is going to Melbourne (the city) and have thought so for a while. I have copped a few slaps in the past on here for saying he is Victoria bound but there is nothing to gain from me doing so (in fact, him going to Melbourne instead of home is an even bigger FU to us). That really just does seem to be the constant buzz though - Carlton is the one that keeps coming up over and over again.
Maybe it is a grand negotiating ploy to get the Crows to throw more money at him or maybe he is just doing a Nathan Buckley and wants to immerse himself in the Victorian footy fantasy land and all its trappings.

Then why don't we get in a position to take Keays if that's the case? We'll want draft picks to get Keays and Hipwood. Keays will take Aishs spot next season and do it 10x better.

For us to become a premiership team, we need to get a few blokes for unders, blokes who haven't shown how good they will be yet. If they have shown something you won't get them for unders, the club needs to take a risk for a big pay-off. For me that is getting the trio Aish, Scharenberg and Toumpas, none have shown they will play more than 100 games but that is the point, thats how you get them cheap, that's why we need to take a shot. If two out of three turn out to be close to the players people thought they could be 2 years ago we have a premiership side. 3 out of 3 we have a dynasty.
