I get the feeling that Aish is just waiting to see what clubs have the picks to trade for him.

It would be pretty embarrassing if he came out and said he wanted to go to somewhere and they couldn't work out a trade. It would make next year at Brisbane pretty awkward.

I'm sure we will find out soon enough.

He honestly doesn't know what he wants or where he wants to play footy. To me that's a concern. Patty, for example, knows exactly where he wants to play. How do you get to an end of a season and do that? He obviously has either lost that burning desire to play or he never had it to start with.
I think it's very simple. He was courted by big clubs last year that have simply gone cold on him.. How would you feel?

If Aish truly is undecided, all he has to say is he's off.

Let's go back to the days when players announced they were leaving, and didn't nominate a club. It's just assumed nowadays that every player has to nominate a destination.

Honestly, if we pay more than a 2nd rounder for him I'll be extremely concerned we are overpaying.

Out of Brisbane I'd rate the order of targets as Redden, Mayes, Aish with Bennell above them all and Menzel on par with Redden.

Id give up a pick 13 or 14 without hesitation .

I'm worried about his intensity at the contest, he seems a purely outside player who has a skinny frame, isn't fast and his kicking skills are overrated imo.

Maybe no clubs have told him they definitely want him for the money he wants? On his current output i dont think clubs want to throw a first rounder for him.

I wouldn't, we must draft real speed and skill with our first pick, one of Darcy Tucker, Bonner or even Milera, perhaps if we get a 2nd from Geelong but only then would I even consider Aish.

I've seen a bit of Tucker in person, you'll love his aggressiveness, evasiveness and hard tackling and that's without his elite speed and beautiful left boot.

Could there be a 3 way trade involving Dangerfield for Aish?

PS. Aish was with a few of the crow boys at the Hackney (VB's Pub) a couple weeks ago. Could of just been some old mates catching up for lunch but it is interesting

Or the club he wants is still involved in finals. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him at Hawthorn next year.

Are we a good chance at Tucker ? I've heard great reviews also.

Would be typical for the Hawks to get him.
now that's defeatist .....have faith in the club, we won't get anywhere near the number of players being sprooked ..... that doesn't equate to failure, just reality

I agree but only to a point.

We have more currency than ever this year, there are multiple players on the move including SA players who suit our needs, and we were building for a genuine tilt in 2017…if ever there was a year to expect decent trades coming in this is the year.

And they know there is over a million bucks in our salary cap and we won a final so good chance of success

This is the year to trade well and hard
