This is the issue and I can see the club making a statement (PSD) if they can't get a 3way/4way deal landing an established KPP.

Clubs won't send players to the PSD to send a message. People inside the club might voice the idea but it really is a case of cutting your own nose off in spite of your face. The only club to do it was Port and they were flush with players that they could afford to do it and a couple of years down the track regretted it. I still think you guys will get good compensation but thinking a second year mid is worth an established KPP is just silly. KPPs are worth much more than mids
