You see my Adelaide bros, Jon Ralph has got onto our plan. We're just trying to acquire mass Adelaide talent to do a mass sale to the Adelaide clubs to swap for Victorians.
Scharenberg, aish, Grundy, broomhead, Kennedy, Maynard if we're feeling generous for historic reasons. for either danger and Sloane, or Gray and boak. Don't tell anyone though, it's a secret.

Methinks you be da stalking horse aii

If Aish does choose a Vic club over us that is a indictment of our clubs recruitment abilities. It also says that Vic clubs are chasing him harder than we are? I hope that is wrong.

It could just mean they offered him overs and the Crows could not match it because they already resigned Dangerfield, Sloane and Douglas in this hypothetical scenario. Crows have a lot going for them, but Mitch Clark was in a similar spot a few years ago and he took the money, rather than go home to the Dockers.

If Aish is homesick why would he go to Melbourne. If he has the opportunity to play in his home town in front of his family and friends and for the team he supported and a new AO, why wouldnt he come here?

Because homesickness belongs in the draw next to the Tooth fairy and behind big foot.

Polec didnt want to play with his best mate.

He kind of did, Smith is just a mate, they played SANFL together, there's never any sign of them hanging out together on their twitters or instagram. Polec's best mate is Daniel Kulikowski who plays in the SANFL, daniel traveled with Polec to Melbourne when he went to meet the port coaching staff, and when Polec signed for port, Daniel was given a spot on the Magpies list. Given that Polec had spent most of his time playing reserves in Brisbane, he probably thought he might be doing the same at Port.

Hmmm. Interesting point of view. Is it supportable by data? It certainly seems like one of the motivations.

You can dress it up anyway you want but if Aish chooses a team other than us it will seen as a failure and will continue the meme that we are not attractive to players.
Everyone in the AFL world expects him to come here.
I know what ur saying but to be honest I couldn't care less what the afl world expects and thinks of us,other then those two great wins to kick off the season it's clear as day we've improved tenfold as a club over the off season on and off the field, I'd rather demand respect through playing good footy, as for Aish if we don't get him for what ever reason let's throw some coin at Carlisle who probably fits more of a need or I wouldn't be upset if we gave more coin to our out of contract players and went to the draft tbh.

Kulilkowski now plays in Victoria. Left the Magpies once they became the Port Power Reserves.

Serious question

Will aish be in our best 22?

M.crouch, Grigg, lyons all cant get a game even with thommo, Kerridge and b.crouch Injured.

Aish is a different player, all those players you mentioned are inside players working on their outside game, Aish is an outside player working on his inside game. He would compete with Mackay and VB for their positions

Lyons maybe but Grigg and M.crouch can play outside.

He wouldn't be dropped for VB and he can't cover he ground like mackay does. B.Crouch will 100% come.

Agreed. He is more outside and is classy with his disposal. Hes not a speed demon but makes good decisions.
He is first 22 every day in my book.

Next year theres a good chance that if they dont get a spot in the first 22 players like Lyons or Grigg wont be at the club. Lyons especially. He should have gone to Melb along time ago. He needs to go to a team who needs a player like him. Now with CEY stepping up it means he really isnt in the team.

Given that we missed out on Cameron therefore obviously have piles of cash lying around, could we swap Mackay for Aish and pay 100% of Mackay's salary for them 2016-2018?

Do you have any inside info on the Aish situation CC?
Oh, just that we're heavily into him and have made some solid overtures. Our club has met with Aish both in person and through Pickers.

I would be extremely disappointed if he didn't end up in the tri colours, he's ours to lose. Whilst obviously we'd prefer to keep Dangerfield than to get Aish (if we were to chose only one), if we weren't to get Aish I think that would be more disappointing and a sign that we maybe aren't an attractive football club. If he ends up going to a Melbourne club, that would be piss weak.

The only reason I could accept him going to another club is if they offered him $1+ mill for some stupid reason and we weren't willing to go near it. That's probably fair enough. Can't see a club offering that $$ though.

So CC, is it a secret that we've met with him?

The article i read mentioned that it was "surprising" that we weren't heavily into him and that the interest was all from vic clubs.....
As mentioned, Pickers playbook 101.
