What did he actually say?
When asked about the situation he said blatantly that there is no reason not to sign other then he wants to go and right now it looks like he won't be there next year unless something changes. He was awkwardly honest

I think his exact words are we are not confident of keeping him

I heard we're going to trade him to Carlton for Henderson and pick 5

Having not seen a lot of him (living in Perth and all), what style of player is Aish? Inside, Outside? Little bit off both? If he's another pure inside Mid, is he someone we should be targeting hard considering our wealth of options there?

Nick Maxwell, that former bogan captain of collingwood has stated Aish might go back to Melbourne, maybe Collingwood or Carlton.

BS. Not you, but the Maxwell comments.

Pies maybe, but you are not going to go to bottom Victorian Clubs that are close to imploding from within.

For a team with rubbish KPPs and entering a rebuild it wouldn't really make sense to trade a forward and a good pick for another midfielder.

Then again, it's Carlton

The style of player he is would best be described as "gun".

If you look around the AFL, they actually would have had a pretty good team if they didnt do any trades.

Kennedy, Betts, Sauce, Garland, Waite. Its not bs I actually think they would be almost a top 8 team.

I wouldnt be surprised if Tippett was at Brisbane next year. His contract is up this year, hasnt been renewed yet. He wont get the same coin as last contract as he hasnt earnt it and the Swans dont have cap space
They also dont need him. Brisbane will pay him more than Sydney. And we all know Tippo will move for cash.

Does this mean Tippett is going home?:confused:

Didn't he sign a 5 year deal?

Interesting, thought he has a couple more years to run?

3 way deal? ;)

Interesting.

It would be the best decision the Swans could make IMO, I dont think Tippett gives them value at the price he is paid though.

It would give them the flexibility to retain their stars and improve their squad. For the Lions it would be there best move and would help them "heal" in losing Aish.

win-win-win.
