Too much shifting blame onto Pickering. He is just very good at getting his clients what they want. Buddy wanted the coke and jecinta lifestyle in Sydney. Ablett wanted mega millions. Pendlebury wanted to stay at the pies. All got their wish.

He is just a facilitator. He doesn't have any power over a player's mind or choices.

Aish an emergency this week.

Would it be in Aish's best interest to be on the outer at the Lions to help facilitate a trade and lower his price.

We all know he was good player at the junior level and we know he can play AFL given his first year. Im just a little suspicious as to his form this year.

Wouldn't be the first young bloke to have a case of the 2nd year blues.

True but they are awful.
its all upstairs and heavily influenced by the way he's being treated.

why bust your gut in the NEAFL if you're not going to get picked anyway? I'm sure it won't put the clubs that want him off (take a look at Polec), and it will only make it easier for them (hopefully us) to get the job done at the trade table to bring him over.

EDIT: "why bust your gut" might be the wrong way of putting it, but there would be tonnes of things playing on his mind and putting him off his game.

He had 6 touches in Round 4... Dropped for round 5 and played well in the reserves...
Round 6 , our reserves had a bye and we also got our first win for the year...
Unless there was an injury, it was always very, very unlikely for him to be selected this week, especially after the win.
Expect him to have a big game this week in the NEAFL and force his was back into the team for next week.
I truly believe he is far from lost.

True. Lets not forget for Aish playing for Norwood >>>> daylight >>>>> NEAFL. What I mean is that his passion to play for the NEAFL just wouldnt be there at all so I can see why he would have careless attitude towards playing in a second tier comp in QLD.

His not lost. But he is leaving the Lions.

It's all about our perception. Is Aish putting his head down on the training track and endeavouring to be picked. Are the Brions management punishing him for non committal? Is it a mixture of both?. Has he spat the chewie. Has his manager ruffled feathers? Is Leppitch being stubborn and thinks to teach him a valuable lesson? Is there a Family situation that is distracting the young man. His contract situation being so hyped hasn't helped any party.

People need to stop seeing Aish not playing as a good thing. I reckon we've already agreed to his price but him not playing means he loses a years worth of experience.

Might have agreed to his price but not Brisbane's asking price

He's looking like delisted free agent material at the moment judging by their selections

Quite confident we will get Aish..... Just feels right.

If only eh!

I'd gladly spend a little bit more for him to have him playing a year of AFL football. He just gets set back a bit otherwise.

Being captain of collingwood is a lifetime golden ticket, where else would pendlebury gone. Pickering takes a percentage of the new pay packet, I think Pickering often helps the player do what is best for pickering.
