If I've learnt one thing on bigfooty it's that experience is meaningless. Guys in their first couple of seasons are expected to do as much as the mediocre experienced players they are looking to replace. In most cases they need to do more because when it comes time, you also have to beat the experience they bring to the table.

Seriously though, with quality like Aish, it will set him back less than an injury. He still had his 2nd full preseason and is continuing to play. However, he needs to have the character to push on and force Leppa's hand and play well enough to demand selection.

A few glasses of red is fine. When I wake up to half a bottle of Drambuie missing as well and half way through a BF post, it does take a little bit of time to build up the courage to review my communique's.

If he can keep that form up then yes. Thought he demonstrated some leadership coming out of defense tonight and through the middle. It's like every player in our side just clicked.

It had to happen. Your key position players are a bit shakey but the engine room is far too good to finish on the bottom of the ladder.

Yeah. We've got Andrews, Gardiner and Clarke as the future defensive group. Gardiner and Andrews still pretty raw but showing good signs. We've got Freeman, McStay and Close up forward who are in similar boat, all young and inexperienced.

Justin Clarke is a good key defender. Second least goals kicked on him last year until Hawkins bagged 7 on him in the last round. Need Merrett back to help him out though.

Yeah, engine room is good. Our run was impressive, something we've seriously missed with Hanley out.

Sure you boys will be happy we got up ahead of Port! :p

The thought that port could have better draft picks than us will throw a spanner in the works for getting Aish. Unless Dwayne Russel is correct and they don't have the salary cap space.

They will do what Sydney did to fit in Tippett then fit in Buddy. Trade and delist a heap of bottom 6 and fringe players. Port won't let salary cap stop them getting a potential elite talent.
