I was told prior to Ben's draft that the Crows were not interested in him (despite a lot of interest on BigFooty).
Did anyone notice him singing "Good ole Colingwood" after last week's match? He had the usual 18% game time coming off the green singlet. His body language was screaming "I want to get out of this place".
I predict that he won't be at Collingwood next year

Why would anyone want to go to Carlton at the moment ? I still think that we're in the box seat for Aish
I also think that Brisbane will be on the hunt for draft picks because I have a suspicion that Sydney might be looking to offload Tippett to Brisbane or the GC.

We'll want draft picks to get Keays and Hipwood. Keays will take Aishs spot next season and do it 10x better.

Honestly, after what we went through with the GH5 and what we'll no doubt go through with Aish/Pickering, anything from Pick 14-20. Collingwood will likely bid on Keays, forcing us to use our second, so if we had another first round it would be great. Hipwood is likely to get a bid thrown at him as well, and we can use that instead of sacrificing 3-4 picks for two kids.
he just really hates the crows at the moment doesn't he.

Hes just puffing wind. Really, James would be smarter going to Adelaide than the likes of Collingwood or Carlton. On form alone he wouldnt get a game at Collingwood, and Carlton is in no better position than Brisbane. Sure, he'd be in an "AFL city" but last I checked Adelaide is AFL Mad as well, AND its his home. Plus he'd get a game for Adelaide eventually. Hes on field form right now wouldnt be best 22 for you guys, injuries aside.
James would flourish at the afc, similar to polec at port.

Damn! All this get Aish nonsense has opened up again. He might become a better player at AFC but he's not been good this year. His numbers aren't even as good as Dmack, Wright and VB and we take great pleasure in rubbishing them. I suppose he can only get better.
Aish is an upgrade on VB and Mackay. Plus he is only young.
He's still not very good.

As much as I have total contempt for Jay Clark, several Lions players seem to firmly believe he is going to Melbourne (the city) and have thought so for a while. I have copped a few slaps in the past on here for saying he is Victoria bound but there is nothing to gain from me doing so (in fact, him going to Melbourne instead of home is an even bigger FU to us). That really just does seem to be the constant buzz though - Carlton is the one that keeps coming up over and over again.
Maybe it is a grand negotiating ploy to get the Crows to throw more money at him or maybe he is just doing a Nathan Buckley and wants to immerse himself in the Victorian footy fantasy land and all its trappings.

I'm sitting on the fence at the moment as to whether Aish is even worth pursuing. At this point I'm glad to see the thought is he's going to Melbourne. Has he really shown anything for you guys this year? Every time I've taken particular notice of him in a game to try to see what others are seeing in him, I've been quite underwhelmed.

Has played one really good game, a couple of promising ones and the rest ordinary. Second year blues... mind elsewhere.. overrated? Hard to tell.
My gut feel is that he will more likely be a Polec rather than a Karnezis (in terms of improvement at new club) but if he signed with us tomorrow I would be more surprised and amused rather than celebratory. Disengaged from him emotionally quite some time ago. He's just a trade chip to me.
