In the VFL or from the wing with stints on ball. At AFL level I think Aish needs to start from the wing. But we seem to prefer Sidebottom and Crisp there right now and that's not counting Wells or Varcoe. I'd love to see Buckley try Sidebottom more permanently on the half forward flank which would open up a wing position.
Sidebottom could Create danger up Forward and could also be a Crumber that we have Needed

Yes he does.:thumbsu:

He plays well in the Wet. He was BOG last year in the VFL vs Casey(Casey) when it Rained nearly all day. Got back in the AFL Side after that
The wet comment was a play on his umbrella work with his girlfriend walking and he didn't share his umbrella

For someone who is such a highly rated kick fmd his daisy cutters a really anoying, Especially when he has time and space. FFS its not that hard to kick a simple drop punt. I was willing to let it go last year as it was hard enough for him just to get the ball in his hands but now its time he has to eliminate that from his game. For such a good kick he should be above that.

I do notice when he has time he Tries to kick the Perfect Kick and that is why I reckon you see those Shockers. He is Fantastic by Hand. Need to play on Instinct and not think too much.

That is why I see him as a Possible Gun Inside Mid

Trying too hard because he figures his place in the side is under threat maybe... ?? But yeah, think less, do more...

Good observation mike123......reminds me of Adams in his first year with us.

I agree he has to step up this year.

He is a lock for round 1.

I try to temper my expectations for Aish, but I cant seem to shake off a huge like for this guy. I loved him even more after umbrella-gate! Must be one of those inexplicable connections that fans make with players, which have very little basis in logic.

Then he let's me down on the field.:(

Think its time to change to my avatar.

Aish definitely played a lot better against Richmond but looking at a best 22 im not sure he can get in, in my view it is between him and Phillips and Phillips has had the better pre season overall out of the 2.

Unless of course he is the preferred option over WHE? Like the x factor WHE brings though.

His back half of last year showed he can be a player. But based on JLT performances; Aish is not best 22 and our least impactful midfielder at the moment. Blair, Greenwood, Phillips, Smith, WHE all ahead of him. As is Wells obviously. At times Aish shows a real lack of intensity which is something I just hate in a player. We can't justify squeezing him into the 22 ahead of any of these guys in my view.

He's doing a pretty good job of forcing our hand with his performances at the moment.

Are we sure when we picked him up we didn't mean to offer the contract to Mundy and confused the two? Seems the only reason you'd take him.
You might be onto something... Gubby was pretty distracted at the time. Perhaps we thought we were dealing with West Coast and getting Priddis?
West Australian clubs and their curly mop head players all look the same to us?
