You do realise the SANFL is widely regarded as the best comp outside the AFL?

In 2017 the VFL State Team went down to the WAFL State team
In 2016 the VFL State Team went down to theSANFL State Team

The VFL's batting average the last 2 years is 0 - 2
Not sure those results have much to do with the comps relative strength given the VFL has such a high proportion of AFL listed players (who are not available for state team selection) compared to the WAFL and SANFL.

All it really says is your second rate players are better than our second rate players.

Yet both Premierships in the VFL & SANFL were won by non aligned AFL teams, Port Melbourne beat a Richmond VFL team chock-a-block with current AFL listed players and in the SANFL Sturt beat the Port Adelaide Magpies chock-a-block with current AFL listed players.

How did a soft bloke with poor kicking skills make it to Pick 7?

Wasn't he supposed to be a Top 3 pick as well?
Aish may be a below average player with a scrawny body, but he is not soft. That is a complete myth.

his kicking is pretty good. the big problem is that he's not fast, can't put on muscle and the coach plays him out of position.

He still has the odd moment here or there where he actually looks like a top 10 draft pick but he just doesn't get it enough.

He gets called soft on account of his build a bit like Dale Thomas was. You could honestly mount an argument that he's in the top 5 most courageous players at the club. When its his turn he always goes for it and he broke his cheekbone earlier on this season going for a hard ball that everyone seems to have forgotten about.

Does Norwood have a third rounder to trade with?

What is his preferred posistion?

As the sweeper mid who sits 1 handball defensive side of the stoppages. He's actually decent there because he's a good decision-maker in congestion but it isn't so congested that he gets pushed around by bigger bodies. It gets him into the game and gives him the freedom to read the ball movement which he is actually quite good at. His only patch of good form for us was in the back end of last season when he was playing there. I doubt we see it again though because buckley wants a team of robots without any imagination and that's not his go. I was shocked he copped the recruitment of Wells tbh.

All the potential in the world but seems like an absolute flog of a bloke. Surely there's some upside from a bloke who was considered one of the best talents of a draft the quality of 2013? He must have some improvement left.
With Hodge gone the #1 flog position has opened up

Wasn't always sh*t, at Brisbane he looked to be a very good player. At Collingwood he went down hill so fast. Then again Collingwood have to many good mids for him to get touches, so a team like west coast would suit him or Gold Coast (highly doubt he'd go back to Queensland).
Rubbish. He had an ordinary second year at Brisbane.

Not sure why the Pies recruited him.

What does this guy do? Honestly forgot he even existed. A total nobody who will be forgotten in the sands of time, like most of us.

Hodge is a bit of a sniper on field, off field he's a great bloke.

"But he got caught driving over the limit" - yeah barely, it's almost as if no regular person has taken the chance and decided to drive when they MAY be over the limit. Awful bloke Hodge must be, absolute flog and just all around despicable human being
