Glass doesn't really play on talls anymore. If fit waters could play that defensive Marshall role but more likely I see hurn taking over from glass

Suspect frawley will be out if reach money wise and he'd probably have a preference to stay in Victoria. If hawthorn want him he'd be mad not to take them up on any offer

Might pay to look at someone like Tate pears who we were trying to convince to come over when the saints were chasing brown.

Nah we were after hooker who didn't want to go which is why the brown to saints thing fell through kind of glad it did with all the asada stuff

if he wanted to come, definately. but there would probably be too many victorian options, especially at some of the better performing teams.

What other free agency targets are there if not for frawley? Gibbs? may as well have a crack at frawley and if the price is too much let him go elsewhere.

We don't need another soft outside receiver pretending to be an inside mid.

We've already got Gaff and Sheppard on the outside.

If there's 1 position we're pretty deep in it's tall defenders. Glassy as 3rd tall is such a luxury, I reckon he'll most likely play next year too. If not, Schofield, McGovern, Barrass are options. Even Waters and Yeo could take that role given that Maxwell executes it mostly for the Pies.

Glass is still playing beautiful footy. His body work is sublime and he's a genius the way he reads the play. THE perfect mismatch defender. No reason why he can't go on.

To be fair, everyone thought EMac and even Glass were uber duds before they got good.
True - people are harsh on key position defenders. It takes a long time for them to develop the skill set necessary to perform their duties at the elite level. Arguably the hardest position on the ground given the constant evolution of the interpretation of the "push in the back" rule and the imperative to be able to read the play of the opposition midfield and forward structure. Fletcher with his long arms has always been able to perform well but most others take more than 3 or 4 seasons to become adequate, let alone elite.
