Was interseted in his comments in the HUN that he is sick of losing.
I feel we need another tallish defender. Wouldn't come cheap, but do you think he is attainable, or worth considering. I know Pears is about and probably only needs a full preseason, but I reckon Frawley would be worthe a sniff.

Let's be honest, we can not swing a trade for an AA defender without selling ourselves short in other parts of the field.
Free agency is the way to go this year. It's pointless trading for experienced players when we use our first round pick on Daniher. Why would we?

We have a good blend of age brackets - it'd be madness as far as I am concerned to trade for anyone (unless they are coming super cheap).

If we can somehow manoeuvre it so that we get Frawley and Caddy for either Hooker or Pears plus picks etc. ...
Then we could outsource ourselves as professional trade consultants charging out hundreds of thousands of dollars per deal adding 2 - 3 million to the bottom line at the end of the season.

I feel like our defensive six is good enough. We don't need to chase someone like Frawley. I'd rather go for something we need like an mid.

Very good footballer. Key position defenders tend to be overpriced however. Better just to develop your own

What happened to Tayte Pears? I thought he looked alright back in 2009, but he's only played 26 of 58 games in the past three seasons. Obviously a few injuries in hat time, but is he going to make it back to senior AFL footy?

Pears has had lots of injuries, not just a few. Ever since the pancreas injury he's never quite been the same. The last time he played was against Melbourne, and to me he looked like a guy bereft of confidence that night.

He's only 22 though, still plenty of time for Tayte, if he can get his body right.

Did he cop a knee in the guts and needed an operation on a ruptured pancreas?

Hope he gets back. I liked his style.
