A nice read. Great to see many potential father-sons coming through.

JAKE LONG 3/2/96 Scotch College (APS) Son of Michael (190 Gms)
Jake will represent the Northern Territory in the NAB AFL U16 National Championships to be held in Sydney later this year, and will play school football for Scotch College in the APS.

Would be awesome if he is half as good as his dad.

DANIEL THOMPSON 30/4/94 Calder Cannons (TAC Cup) Son of Mark (202 Gms)
Daniel made his debut for the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup and played in the opening two rounds mainly across half back.

So he'd be coached by his Dad potentially?
God imagine that.

Had a retro moment reading that list- what with names like Daniher, Williams, Neagle, Wallis, Van Der Haar, Thompson and Long, it reads like an 80s/early 90s honour roll.

Also, if Jydon and Matthew Neagle are any good, we need to get OPERATION STAY SLIM going stat. Their brother is Jay afterall.

This year, as well as Daniher we've got a Fields, who was supposedly not all that far off being rookied last year.
Jordan (NOT the one playing for Bendigo) Williams running round for Eastern U18s
Jydon Neagle for Bushrangers
And I think a few others

Humble Minion does an excellent job keeping track of our kids, and writing up their form (and likelihood of being drafted) in various competitions.

Pev will only be 33 this year and we've got his son in the academy.

Can we recruit Dean Rioli's unborn sons now, please?

He has 3 sons already doesn't he how many more are you expecting??

Why kind of s**t bogan name is Jydon?

Jay= fairly common name.
Matthew= one of the most 'standard' names of all.

But Jydon?? It's like they were trying to prevent the kid from suffering from middle child obscurity.

Sounds like a pokemon.

If only Jydon did equal...

Anyone know who is likely to be drafted out of those? Obviously Joe D, but I've heard good things about Jake Long.

Far as I know (which admittedly isn't very far), Clothier, Long, Wallis probably have the best credentials at this point (after Joe), but obviously there's a very very long way to go.

I don't really know anything about Vander Haar one way or the other, but he should get a shot in the TAC next year to show what he can do.
