Birch should probably retire if we are brutally honest, what service does it provide by playing him in a team that is not competing? We can use his salary on acquiring players in trade and FA and try and allow the responsibility of that half back to be taken by one of the kid..... Hang on, which kids? lol

Not sure I can honestly believe anyone at Hawthorn would say to a player like Sicily (or ANY player for that matter) in July, that it's in their best interests to NOT play footy, so we can get them right for next APRIL !!
