Sicily however, is funny, spiteful, talented, hated and loved all at the same time. Legend.

Fair point, I guess the point I was trying to make is that many supporters will turn a blind eye to their own players negative aspects but when its an opposition player they lose their minds.

For what its worth I think Sicily is a gun and the game needs characters like him. I don't particularly care if he instigates anyone, they are all grown men and can handle it.

I don't understand attitudes towards this guy. People seem to love his work but hate him.

I'm the opposite. He's a decent enough player but high possession half backs are a dime a dozen. He's a dickhead but so what? Every team has dickheads and you generally love them if they are your dickheads.

If the AA team was picked by the nuffies on here the defence would probably consist of Simpson, Laird, Shaw, Sicily, Lloyd and Howe.

Playing loose at HB is the easiest position in footy. Shannon Hurn has been a good player for about a decade and this year we're trying to isolate him as our loose man and all of a sudden he's getting 10 marks and 20+ touches a game and people are calling for him to be in the AA side.

I also hate Sicily but admire his work. Was tremendous today. Almost just as annoyed that Joey didn't acknowledge the high-five as I am about his lacklustre performance.

I've been saying the last month or so that he needs to channel his campaignerish behaviour a lot better so that it benefits the team. No good to have him miss every second week with silly suspensions. Today he did that superbly. Best player on the ground, kicked a brilliant goal, and his campaignery conduct was well within the rules and actually very funny. Great stuff.

Building quite the highlight reel this season. In between his AA level of play taking intercept marks and kicking goals from 50 he's either got reported or done something else. Fun to watch.
