true, but he was playing on harvey...not an easy task.

yes your'e right he was supposed to be playing ON harvey but he played 10m OFF harvey for most of the game

Thats harsh. He tried, he's just not very good. The sad indictment for Freo is he has played 151 games for us.

No, I am sorry, he did not.

I truly believe that he has/d the ability, he just self-destructs with pressure. This explains the excellent WAFL and pre-season behaviour.

Please refer to my comments in the David Mundy thread re the plight of deluded metrosexes.

Mundy is too ugly to be a metrosexual.

Walker is a top WAFL footballer, and a very, very ordinary AFL footballer. Its amazing he played 150 games at AFL level.

yeh but anyway.....harvey has it all over walker in every department.

And you'd know wouldn't you STUPID?

Very, very ordinary footballers don't play 150 games of AFL football!

For other teams maybe...

Shaun McManus? I would describe his ability as a footballer as very, very ordinary.

He is clearly a great guy with a big heart. But as a footballer I would describe him as ordinary.

Happy did ok. Out of the whole team he is probably one of a few that didnt have a clanger.

I was listening to ABC for a while when Happy went into the ruck 1st qtr. He (happy) clearly won a few knocks but Mitchell called the roos ruckman as winning.
I watched him pretty close because I of the crap that dished up to him and I was surprised how often he chose to handball instead of doing his usual run bounce and kick long. Suggests to me he was under orders to give it off by hand and he followed his instructions to the letter.

Walker in the WAFL = Allowed to play the ball and back himself to run the lines and create.
Walker in the AFL = Told to play defensive on good half forwards, which is a job that he isn't suited to and doesn't practice when he's playing for Peel.

His best days were when he was on the wing and attacking.

his time is up. Has the pace but doesn't want the ball. Never uses his pace to create the play. Harvey killed us on the link through the middle yesterday. Cannot understand why they persisted with walker to go with him when he doesn't have the smarts. Maybe matty carr has a greater roll than most of us suspect

I agree hoogs, i brought up this point last week. His best footy is when he is able to run the lines, create, be attacking but CC persists with using him defensivley... Surely CC has seen him play at Peel or even Pre-Season this year,

We need pace in the midfield so instead of using Walker(who won the sprint at the grand final) in the midfield we keep using the same slow barge ass mids who are not getting the job done. Ive had enough of this big bodied crap, pace wins footy matches these days. Just look at the top 4... Geelong, West Coast, Hawthorn, Kangaroos... All have pace in the midfield, you dont need big bodies to win the ball.

Sandilands, Walker, Foster, Headland in the middle. J. Carr and Black on the wings. Hasleby to play in forward pocket.

We have plenty of fit players to play in the forward pocket.

Ralphie - did you say Foster??

I thought you were of the "no-one in the WAFL is asking to be picked and we shouldn't pick them for the sake of looking for the draft pick saviour to come and rescue us from the mire"....

Why have you changed your mind??
