Playing like a player that doesn't want to get injured and ruin the change of a 3 yr deal at GC on better money. There are few like that at the Pies at the moment.Fallen right away. Likely ends up taking a one year deal to stay at Collingwood.
My understanding is he has a fair offer in front of him at 2 years.Collingwood should just pay him what he wants each time so that we can avoid this charade that he’s in serious talks with other clubs.
He's linked to the SunsMy understanding is he has a fair offer in front of him at 2 years.
Sounds like he wants to move to QLD so might be playing for you guys next year.

Gold Coast are reportedly keeping an eye on veteran Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott, as the out-of-contract 32-year-old continues to weigh up his future.
Elliott, who has been in red-hot form throughout 2025, is yet to accept a two-year deal on the table from the Magpies as they continue their premiership tilt.
Speaking on SEN, reporter Sam Edmund expanded on the contender’s preliminary interest in the 241-gamer.
“There is a chance Elliott’s career-best season could be his last at Collingwood. The Suns are holding some appeal for the (out-of-contract) forward; he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season, so he could move north.
“He had a good look at Brisbane (in 2022) ... his family is still there (and) he spent a lot of his childhood in Queensland, so there is no doubt that they hold some appeal for him. Collingwood are aware of this, the Suns are also aware of it.
“I think he’s got a school of thought that the warmer weather might extend his career as well. I’m not sure what the Gold Coast offer would be, because it hasn’t got to that.
“The Suns are monitoring it.”

Have heard suns offer is 2 years on 600 + coaching after.
As good as a Done deal.
At his age and considering his desire to retire in to retire in Queensland, it'd almost be silly to turn it down. Career best form is awesome but everyone knows it can fall away quickly when you're 32yo+. I reckon he takes the offer and moves to Queensland, mainly because I think he would have already re-signed if he planned on staying with the Pies.Would be hard to turn down for sure.
Though he did turn down Brisbane back in 2019 really, really late. Of course, he's older now and given he apparently wants to move to Queensland post-footy....At his age and considering his desire to retire in to retire in Queensland, it'd almost be silly to turn it down. Rumour has it Elliott has spent the last few days in Queensland before returning to Melbourne to begin training for finals.Form has already slipped.
Take the two years Jamie.

Not really a rumour when he posted to his instagramRumour has it Elliott has spent the last few days in Queensland before returning to Melbourne to begin training for finals.
Curious timing...

Fair enough. The below tweet was posted three weeks ago so I reckon he's potentially a chance to join us (the Suns) if the Pies don't give him what he wants contract wise. According to his socials, he was in Queensland earlier this week and has stated publicly that he plans to return to QLD one day after spending some of his childhood here... so who knows! This was reported in May but pretty clearly a contract negotiation tactic. I don't see how/why we would be involved.
