Don't get Everton fans started on the Arteta money. Or the discrepancies in the funds disappeared in other sales like Rodwell!

But in theory Everton should have money to spend simply based on the last transfer window up until now. Anichebe, Jelavic and Fellaini has netted around 40 mill! The only money from that so far re-invested is McCarthy for 13 mill and minimal cost for McGeady. Yes we do have a couple of players on loan but many of our highest earners at the club have moved on in the last 2 or so seasons. Arteta, Fellaini, and surprisingly to some Tim Cahill and Phil Neville etc. Would be disappointing if Everton did not spend 20 odd mill in the off-season minimum.

I think most people would say Everton have come out ahead in those players we let go. Anichebe for 6 mill, I dunno how we managed that!

Echo all of these thoughts.
Phenomenal post!

Did you see we're looking at signing Kenwyne Jones as a back up striker?

Sky sources: Southampton executive chairman Nicola Cortese hands in written resignation - follow this developing story on #SSN

huge
Wasn't Pochettino quoted as saying he'd leave if Cortese left/was pushed out? I'm sure I read that last year. I remember something about the daughter who inherited the ownership of the club disliked football, seeing it as a sport for the lower class and that she was only interested in equestrian or polo or something like that.

Gundogan has offers from us and Real Madrid and will decide his future soon according to BILD. Real are supposedly offering Benzema as part of the deal anyways we have no chance of signing him. :(

And Madrid would be left with two youngsters upfront? I doubt it.

it won't be happening this window

imo gundogan will renew and then head off to the highest bidder, just so dortmund don't get screwed over once again. force a team to pay top dollar for a top player.

Are you going to fill the big Fernando Torres shaped hole this month?

Still think the centre of your defence will cost you down the line.

No. That will come in the summer in the form of Lukaku and another, maybe Rooney(wishing it be Falcao).

I'm happy with Terry, Cahill and Luiz as our CB's ATM. Omeruo looks quality, just needs to play and Kalas has potential. Would love to snaffle Zouma though.

Can't see us finishing above you guys this season either, but things will be rosier next season.

Is Loftus-Cheek still at the club? Thought he looked great in pre season, would be good to see him tried at senior level, even if it is a loan move.

Yep, he's killing it in the under 21's atm.

You would think he'll be loaned out soon, still only very young 17 or 18 I think.

Fulham have bid £2m for Liam Moore according to Sky blue boy jatz
Yep, we quite rightfully told them to GAGF. Is worth so much more, not to mention the fact he's a Leicester lad through and through.

With us looking like being promoted and the possibility of Fulham being relegated, it would be terrible move for Moore in any case.

superkev supposedly signing for leicester according to sky
Has signed until the end of the season. Reckon it's a really good signing, very cheap and can find the net in tricky situations at the back end of games. Said in the interview that Leicester was the only place he wanted to go after leaving Palace :thumbsu:

Loving Pearson's work in the transfer window so far :thumbsu:

Thought you were hoping it wouldn't happen a couple of weeks ago?

At first I was but it's minimal risk for someone with a lot of experience. Willing to admit I jumped the gun and got that wrong a couple of weeks ago. His experience will prove valuable no doubt.
