At first I was but it's minimal risk for someone with a lot of experience. Willing to admit I jumped the gun and got that wrong a couple of weeks ago. His experience will prove valuable no doubt.
He's so old though! You'd have to hope he doesn't break down.

No we don't. He won't ever start, will just be an impact player. If we need a goal late in a game he will come on. If he breaks down, we just go back to using GTF or any number of the players that have performed so well for us already this season.

It really is a win for us. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't hurt us at all. If it does, it works perfectly for very minimal financial cost :thumbsu:

Simeone believes Chelsea has a €25mil valuation of Courtois which puts him out of their price range and he doesn't believe that they would sell even if that was met.

5m+ for Jelavic! Everton must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Very happy about Matic. A lot better than Guarin and once Van Ginkel is back we will have a quality midfield for years to come.

From what I hear the fee being quoted is well exagerrated from the actual price. But it's January, we're desperate for a striker and clubs know it. I'd rather get Jelavic than Holt, that's for sure.

Also word that Graham is going to be re-called, and confirmation we've agreed a fee for Long. If Graham goes we can get another loanee in which would just about do us. Long and an attacking mid would be mint.

  • Assem Allam, the Hull City chairman, has threatened to walk out on the club if his controversial attempt to rename them 'Hull Tigers' is blocked by the Football Association or the supporters.

  • Manchester United's former prodigy Paul Pogba feels such a deep grievance about the way he was treated by Sir Alex Ferguson that he has ruled out any notion of returning to Old Trafford.

Very pleased with Matic. Ramires also happy.
Would love to sign a striker, but some how I doubt it. Which doesnt please me, but I can hang on to what we got a little longer. But Jose better have plans in summer!:p

That ship has sailed. Dont know why we would bother, if we even are and it is not just the usual need for the press to fill space.

so apparently gundogan has had talks with barca, is a barca fan, and xavi is leaving, plus supposedly been put off madrid by the likes of ozil and sahin.

Fantastic footballer, would be a perfect fit at Barcelona. Price would surely be in the 30-40m bracket?

I would never sell Pogba if possible. Has cemented his spot in a pretty tough midfield to break into (Marchisio :() and will be going to the world cup. Would only sell back to France for a hefty fee.

Where did you read this? Only this morning the latest word from him was that he was focusing on getting fit and hasn't decided. No mention of Barca, makes complete sense they would chase him.
