It's not the technically true part I laugh at, it's just that some people are taking the Freeman suggestion seriously. Laughable.

Even solid right wing shock jock Tom Elliott says he’s open to the idea.

It may not be the best idea but it’s a much better idea than commemorating Australia’s national day on a day when British convicts and British sailors arrived here to establish a British penal colony under a British flag.

Now that is a truly laughable idea.
