TVN showed before the first race with a roo running into the woods away from the track and did LOL.

ok so my day is a mess. I was so not confident in the two favs that i went wide in a treble *facepalm*.

So basically if quick peek wins ill have the quad x 3 which will pay about $7. If anything else wins ill have 70% (prays for $70 winner:p) and i also have the treble with 8 runners, dont have my paper on me so i cant remember the numbers but really it doesnt matter who wins ill be giving money back im sure. Just looked and the quad is $40 the short way...ouch. Horrid Horrid day.

Lets hope Quick Peek wins then :thumbsu: :D

Would like the 2 or the 5 in the next, but i reckon Acorns may be too good.

Also cool picture

well im off to kill myself nice to know ya
If ever there was a way anyone could make it a certainty that Acorns was gonna win...... :p
At least draw it out a bit longer and wait until Saturday night. Still some time to win it back with a few nice races/horse coming up :thumbsu: Australia Stakes looks a cracker.

R3: Sepoy blew them away and can't see any of them turning the tables any time soon. He's a real professional and should only get better with the run. He ran a quicker time than the fillies too. Win of the day for imo. Moody backed off on Golden Archer a bit and it showed and he can improve next start - but so will the winner.

R4: Godammit Anevay grr, the wallet would've loved to see her hold on and she was very game in defeat. Graskop hit the line well and should relish an extra 200m. from a future/BD point of view, I don't think there's much between the first three across the line, the winner will edge closer to B.D favouritism.

R5: Tough race to assess. Eclair Mystic held on well, Spirited Eagle grew legs late and should be a Guineas firmer. Servant was a nice first up run and will be thereabouts in the better races. Linked In handled the step up in class well. Anacheeva wasn't 'horrible' by any means imo, he wasn't suited by the way the race was run, but he hit the line well. Being a bit older/more mature this prep, extra distance will suit him much better and it's impossible to knock a G1 winner on his run today.

R6: Danzylum had it as he liked and is in a purple patch of form.

R7: Varenna Miss gave backers of the shorts a heart attack, but once the second horse started to challenge her, she lifted and scored a narrow win. This was her first up kill, she'll be better if able to chase and onwards and upwards for her now. We'll see her in a G1 race before the end of the season.

R8: Nice to see Acorns win again, in good form, had every chance and good win. It might pay to keep following him now. Quick Peek lost it at the start. Nothing (else) to really get excited about.

I had the quaddie twice to bring back the day to a 5.5 unit loss (was down 22 units at one stage). Would've been a winning day if Anevay got up too, the dip and bob was just out of sequence :(

Just watching Anacheeva's run again, the only reason it looked like it came home well was that 600 out it was 5 lengths behind the pack, with all the room in the world. Definitely wasn't what I expected.

Anacheeva, wow was just awesomely awful. Was pretty pleased with myself getting $6 and then it coming into 3.8. Tickets were ripped up 300 out, pathetic.
I was in exactly the same boat. Got burned badly by Anacheeva and I only had him to place... luckily I made amends on NBL but the horses have decimated me of late.

How did all you guys manage to lose with all the favs getting up all day?

Depends where you were betting - Warwick Farm was the exact opposite.

And a lot of those favourites today were way under the odds, so when you go looking for value, those same favourites getting up all day can bite you in the arse.

well thats just stupid betting, if you think a horse will win, it doesnt matter the odds. if you dont like the odds, dont bet. why people go looking for value when they think that another horse will win is beyond me.

Simple game, pick who you think will win, If you dont like the odds, dont bet. Why waste money betting on value if you dont think it will win. Dont convince yourself that because the other horse is value, that it can now win
