You can have him. What's he got this season, like 2 in 22 or something. Prolific.
In fairness to him he has only 13 of 26 and has 3. Not great but wouldn't be buying him purely based off what he has shown just this season. Has some runs on the board from previous years

It certainly is. No goals from our AM's. Tex would provide those you would hope. Also no width. He'd provide that also.
Would have thought he'd be competing with the likes of Coutinho and Firmino for their natural position in behind the ST? If he is more a winger then yeah you are short of options other than Ibe

Levy would rather get nothing and pay his wages for a year than lose a penny on a deal.
He seems to be determined to get 14m for him. Latest reports saying we are baulking at that and considering other options.

Similar to Berahino who WBA seem to be trying to manufacture a bidding war. Telegraph reporting we don't have enough for both Berahino and Townsend.

I'd rather we look elsewhere personally. Phillips and someone like Remy would do me just fine plus the remaining funds could surely bring in a LB or another CB.

Apparently we've made a £1.2million bid for Espanyol forward Mamadou - probably another for the future but if he becomes another Perez, that would be quite pleasing.

Also Poch has hinted Townsend might have played hi last game for Spurs - wonder if another club is nearing a deal for him and has been working in the background?

He's obviously a very versatile player so I doubt that fitting him in would be an issue whether we played a 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 or a diamond - having made an offer you'd assume that Klopp would have a role in mind for him. From what I've seen of him he looks to be a bit like Firmino in that he can and has played at #10, #9 and out wide pretty successfully. Pretty clear that Klopp doesn't trust Benteke in the big games at present, and if Sturridge is fit it's obviously a bonus at this stage, so if we signed Teixeira I imagine it would be with a view to he and Firmino interchanging between #9 and #10 throughout the game with Coutinho floating in that inside left position.

Most important thing with this guy isn't really the position he plays in, it's that he has become very proficient at putting the ball in the back of the net. We need goals, and he's one of the most prolific in that department in Europe at the moment (22 goals in 15 league games so far this season, 26 in 25 in all comps).

Don't really care about half of those names, but you can add players like David Silva (2009) & Stevan Jovetic (2010)(didn't meet the asking price); Henrikh Mkhitaryan (2013), Willian (2013) and Diego Costa (2013)(opted to join Dortmund & Chelsea respectively) to that list. Made offers but for whatever reason they didn't come off, I'm sure every club has similar stories - who's your biggest regret?

Said every Barcelona fan when rumours RE Figo -> Madrid started circulating in 2000.
It's a little different now. For one, it would cost them an absolute fortune now (even for Madrid).

Madrid are about to go 2 seasons with no transfers as well. That will only allow Neymar to further settle in Barcelona.

You can't go putting a concrete stamp on any possible transfer involving Los Blancos.

That gareth barry transfer was such a big **** up by liverpool.

Did not get barry and pissed alonso off.
Don't know why we went for him in the first place, completely unnecessary. Alonso by far the better player and Rafa should have put aside whatever personal issues they may have had.

Pretty sure we had heavily scouted Luis Suarez when he was at Ajax, just prior to when he signed for Liverpool. Apparently the story goes that Redknapp had concerns over whether he could play as a loan striker and possibly Sherwood saying that he didn't think he was a good fit for the Premier League or something like that, jd2010 or NSFB might remember a bit more about that one.

Apparently were were also nailed on to sign Eden Hazard and Oscar when we finished 4th and looking like playing in the Champions League the following season. That was until Chelsea won the Champions League and knocked us out before we'd even played a game, a situation made worse when those players went on to sign for Chelsea. And of course later on, the Willian transfer situation is well known.
