In fairness though, at the time, most "judges" agreed our choice was between Bradley and Tenace. Bradley was thought of as the best big man available. Tenace was no great loss, poor kick.

Yeah, probably fair. Just seems to happen at most drafts Essendon are involved in... which is pretty much all of them!

The mention of the name Riewoldt just makes some people mess their pants, I'd prefer substance... and someone who can kick!

Your not a fan of guys that can take 10-15 marks at one of the hardest positions on the ground.

Or players that can run his opponent into the ground and then do the same thing to his replacement?

Not a fan of a guy who can't kick a goal from 30 directly out in front and is paid $500k+ a year to do it!

Great mark, shit kick. I never said he wasn't good, but on the same token he doesn't kick 3-4 goals every week.

Well 42.26 would say differently and his job isn't just kicking goals, he ensures the ball gets into the forward line with regularity

Brennan would be a great pickup, showed what he is capable of in the Collingwood match. A forward line with Lloyd, Lucas and Brennan would be awesome

I would give up Pick 23 for Brennan in what looks like a pretty weak draft from what i have heard.

Really 42 goals in 20 games is 3-4 goals a week is it?

He ensures the ball gets into the forward line or the midfielders do?

So he's a KPP, a forward, and his primary role isn't to kick goals...........

Do we want him forward or back?? Came of age this year at across the half back line I thought.

Go back and see what i highlighted.

I highlighted that you said he was a shit kick and can't kick a goal from 30 metres out, i pointed that you were wrong.

He as well as others ensure the ball gets into the forward line.

His Primary role is not to kick goals, although obviously that is a part of his role.

IF his primary role was to kick goals why would they play him where they do and have him marking the ball around the HFF/wing area?

Looks like Keplar might be traded for Jared Brennan.

The Lion would cost us more, but we have plenty of room in our cap.
I reckon its a good deal. They were both first round picks. Brizzy need tall KPPs and we could use Brennan's pace and spark around goals. He might actually blossom with already good pace around him - might be a genuine prospect on the wing.
We have plenty of KPP's and as has been said Kepler is utter crap.
Pass.

From what i can remember he was back at the start of the year and was very good for dreamteam , not as much for his team. A few weeks later was when his inconsistency came into it he was playing crap. The move forward was where he showed more for eg: The Collingwood game where he kicked 7.

If he does play forward, where would Gumbleton play though?

My goodness, are you serious with Brennan, you don't remember his one handed pick up in his first game, I think the guy can crumb a little!
A one handed pick up doesnt make him a good crumber. A good crumber is someone who can read the ball of a pack, get to it first and dispose of it, either to kick a goal or to pass it off. IMO, Brennen is a lead up forward, he is NOT a crumber.

am i the only brisbane fan that thinks high of jared and wants to keep him? i really dont want him to leave and if he does (i'm ready for the essendon fans to go off) but i dont think a 2nd round pick would go well for him as this yr's draft is crap. gumbleton on the other hand :thumbsu: hehe.

i know thats probably too much to ask for but thats how high i rate jared and dont want him to leave.

Gumbleton for Brennan? Keep dreaming buddy :thumbsu:

I think were all overlooking a major factor here. Knights said were were unlikely to trade away our draft picks. So unless Brisbane is really THAT interested in Bradley, we dont have much hope of getting him.
