He did switch back recently

But that did sound poor

Always felt Kirk was the leader of that group

And Maxfield. I think Hall was definitely a strong leader at the time though, it is sometimes overlooked that between 2003 and 2007 he behaved exceptionally well on the field - in relative terms at least. After that he lost the plot but during our best years, he was disciplined and not a discipline risk to the team.

Should have been Kirk or Goodes. Just a pity it wasn't Stewy. Ted I should take you fishing.

Agree

And should Ted expect to come home from that trip?

Macca had some massive moments in 12 that changed the momentum of the game

Like the goal in the square and the 50m from Mitchell

Some players would have choked with that shot under pressure and while hawks had the momentum, Buddy missing but Macca put it straight through

Change of the game at that point

Inspiration moment by not catching Mitchells throw, fair dinkum. It was a good kick under pressure.

By the way Hall kicked his from outside 50 under the same pressure and 72 years of failing.

Same leadership in both years it is just Adam Goodes...and on one leg in one of those.

He did but I’ll take Malceski’s bookends and Morton’s cameos any day! There was nothing sweeter than seeing Mitchell almost sobbing a few days later at Southbank!

Yeah spot on.
In fact nearly every single one of our players had a memorable moment that contributed positively to our win when I think of them.

LRT marking back deep in the last.
Teddy the same.
Mitch Morton's two goals.
Goodesy goal on one leg.
Reid marking down the line & also his long goal.
JPK's goal on the run.
Jack's goal after he gently shoved the Hawk bloke (can't remember) in the square.
Mattner's chase & tackle near the end.
Jetta's run with Cyril.
Grundy's marks.
Jude's tackling.
ROK's smothering of Mitchell.
Macca's clutch goal after the 50.
Shaw's dashes out of defence.
AJ's dashes out of defence & change of direction to switch play.
Malceski's two brilliant match winning goals.
Hanner's gutsy mark.
Bird's in & under stuff & quick handballs out of congestion.
Smith's shut down job on Cyril.
Parker as the sub.
Pyke's brilliant last quarter that shoved it up BT.
Now who's the last one?

Oh yeah. Mumford for playing s**t & getting subbed off so Pyke could demolish the Hawks in the last on his own in the ruck.

Yep.....................good day that one.:D

I'd talk you out of killing the poor fish!;)
Poor fish?

Fish are basically a vegetable like potatoes and chicken.

Then you have half meat like lamb.

And full meat like steak and protein powder with creatine.

I miss that side.

From my understanding Kirk grew into being a leader around late 2016. The Geelong Semi final was when they said he started to really step up and when he told Davis "you owe us a goal" that was one of the first times he started to lead.
