All you blokes realise YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE MEDIA REPORTS ANOUT HAYNE IF THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH HIM.

Actually, using that excuse is bullshit. You guys just want to find something to hate on.

You're pathetic.

I had a 3rd date with a super cute girl at lunch time today, who is way out of my league - it's going really well!

Despite that... I'm disappointed that I wasn't around to watch this thread live. I've totally gone all GG in my liking of nearly every post!

I hope those of you simultaneously commenting, "rubbing it", ejaculating, arguing and fist-pumping realise how amusing the thread is for those of us reading later on :D

There's no middle ground
Holy shit, he's the new Adam Goodes now too!

The media need to decide whether he is a Train or a Plane, he can't be both.
Hayne is everything all at once. :rainbow:

I was referring to the media hyping him up like the second coming of deion sanders, is it wrong to want an unbiased story from the media?
To be fair, the Australian media in general don't know any better. All they really know about the NFL is that the general public know jack shit too, so they run with the easy story.

I get that and was just venting my frustration at all the media sensationalism, I just want to read a good factual article on Hayne :(

Rotoworld finally recognizes him too....

------------------

49ers RB/PR Jarryd Hayne rushed 10 times for 58 yards in Thursday's preseason finale, adding two catches for an additional 17 yards.

The ex-rugby player made one of the plays of the game when he used the big-hit stick on Bolts DB Lowell Rose at the end of a 12-yard reception. Hayne was signed to primarily contribute on special teams, but he wraps up the preseason with 25 carries for 175 yards (7.00 YPC). Adept at making the first defender miss, Hayne's 53-man roster odds are looking mighty good.

The biggest plus for Hayne has been his ability to get up the field.

Ignore all this bullshit about evasiveness, etc. . . . his biggest strength is he instantly gets momentum up the field.
One of the best things about Hayne coming from the rugby background is that he knows to get up field and not dance around.

Here's a situation. The 49ers place him on the 53 man roster so no other team acquires him via waivers, then in the few days before the first game, send him to the practice squad?

Is this allowed or is the 53 set for a certain time?
Has to go to waivers before practice squad.

He'll definitely make a roster and I don't think the 49ers will risk not keeping him. Some impressive runs and as much as I hate rugby/League they are very tough guys, not afraid of contact. Good luck to him.

He's topping jersey sales for the 49ers through the NFL shop so there must be lots of Australians buying them.

The 49ers have always been a recognisable brand here in Oz and I reckon that has helped fuel the media hype too.

Wonder if he'd have got as much press trying out with Jacksonville?

Finally watched some highlights. He really knows how to keep stable whilst pulling his hips around low tackles (if that makes any sense). Partially negates the fact that he runs upright.

S/T 53, dead time carries methinks. Don't think people would care nearly as much if he wasn't with a high profile team.

I reckon he would have. Sydney press especially.

BTW, that was a bloody good tackle on coverage team....not surprised seeing some of his tackles on you tube (btw is Baalke claiming false credit saying he found Hayne on youtube?)

the youtube story is apparently true. hayne or his agent sent his youtube video to some nfl team(s), trying to gauge interest in him.
