Ill fall off for a bit after xmas mate, building a tiger bar to drink with my fellow tigs when i move to Melbourne after xmas, wonder if i can find any Melbourne based NFL fans so i can give it some use for the AFL off season? :)
I'm Melbourne based and an alcohol enthusiast and I'm positive I'm not the only one on this board.

Apparently Chism is already planning the Superbowl party to end all Superbowl parties.

Either that, or the dude knows how to hold a grudge and he's planning for the Superbowl party to end my life :p

I'd kind of like to meet some NFL fans from here too actually. The NFL board is, along with the wrestling board, about all I visit here (and I don't think the wrestling board is quite as mature) - and I also just moved to Melbourne and don't know anyone yet.

Bloody shame about the game times in Australia! Maybe a few of us could tee something up in December when they have the Saturday night games.

I drink alot, the game times suit me me for most hours no matter which part of the globe im on, no reason you couldn't throw up a HD replay of games that suited guys for the NFL on aussie time during the week with a few beers* though :D
* every man is responsible for his own intake, i void any responsibility from here on out :D

I'm in the same boat, I only post here as it's knowledgeable people who have an interest in the game. I do have a feeling I might be a bit younger than everyone else though.

Gaskins was the back that was cut.

Oh well, I was wrong. Luckily there's not too many Bills games that clash with the Niners.

Hopefully 7mate do show some of them.

I'm making an attempt to get back into watching NFL. Obviously following the Chargers, but Hayne will definitely be a nice sub plot for the season.

Well hats off to the guy, looks like he'll get a starting gig in the opener. He has had ALOT of criticism from this thread and a lot of people basically rule him out of the 72 cut. Good work Jarryd, it's a proud moment for him and his family and hopefully we can all get behind him.. Let's stop with the tall poppy syndrome Australians like to have and just enjoy the ride, it means we get more coverage as well so that's a bonus.

Good for him but remember teams will continue to make additional roster moves as players hit the waiver wire (do they ever stop).

Hunter going to IR was obviously a huge help for Hayne. It does mean though that the 49ers are in the market for a RB (or should be).

Since when has commenting on his many and varied NFL shortcomings constituted anything close to resembling tall poppy syndrome? Almost all of BigFooty NFL has been united in congratulating him for his efforts and from day 1. The simple reality is, he has a multitude of flaws in his game (to be expected) but his performances in the preseason made him hard to ignore for the 49ers.

49ers RB/PR Jarryd Hayne has made the 53-man roster.

The ex-rugby star forced his way on with an eye-popping preseason. Hayne made big plays on returns, and rolled up 175 yards rushing on just 25 carries (7.00 YPC). He's not going to be in for a big early-season role on offense, but Hayne has legit playmaking ability.
