Jasmine Sowden is a highly competitive player with great defensive pressure around the ball, but can hurt opposition teams offensively as well. At the stoppage, she has the smarts to read the ball off hands and win a stack of clearances, then when forward, Sowden finds space to win the ball and hit the scoreboard consistently.

In 2024, Sowden worked in tandem with potential top pick Ash Centra at Gippsland Power and stepped up after a promising bottom-age campaign. She averaged 20.7 disposals, 3.8 marks and 6.0 tackles, while averaging a goal per game.
