Ok, so you are using an example of when he was in his 2nd year of footy? That really makes sense

Jase was spoil first, that was his intention back then, he is a better player these days that has a great mark. He would be worth a look in on a flank, ******** he couldnt do any worse than Hamill does at St Kilda

Plus that atleast gives him somewhere else where he can be utilised untill the inevitable retirement of Wakes either this year or next

Jason shouldnt play in the forward line when he come sback into the side

he will play again this year, i have no doubt, it will depend on match-ups though, with Hird most likely out this week, i dont think he will play but will depend on who the Bombers bring in

eddie, i just dont agree with what you think of Maxwell, thats the tripe i was talking about you peddling

Yeah well, no one agrees with me on Maxwell as he seems to be loved by all, dont know why, I think some love him because he is seen as the one keeping Jase out of the team

Exactly and guess what, Wakelin is 31 this year, Clement is 29 and Presti is 28. Can anyone here the alarm bells starting to go of.
Hence we have 86 who is 21, C1 who is 22, and Tex who is 20!
Imagine if we held on to these guys, and recruited some proper coaches to develop all three into the next generation Presti/Wakes/Jimmy!

yeah i agree Madd Matt....Walker is still very much a raw player, still developing and he is a huge lump of a lad, has had form problems this season and also injury concerns

Maxwell has taken the chance presented him, while Jason had an interrupted preseason, which put him behind the likes of Maxwell, and then the Freo game didnt help him at all

the assistant coaches are an issue, but that isnt the key factor in the continuing development of these players, once Walker is fit and firing after a few runs at Willy, he should be brought in, maybe even this week if Cam doesnt come up (i dont know how Walker is travelling with his injury) and Jason will play again soon also

Jason and Maxwell can both play in the same side easily, alongside Wakes, Presti and Jimbob as well, it all depends on the opposition of course

I found this quote interesting:

"I don't want to play `twos' footy all my life. When I was growing up all I wanted to do was play AFL footy. That's still my goal. I don't care where I play it. I just want to play. They've told me to hang in there, that there's a few blokes who are a bit older and anything could happen. But if they think I'm playing crap footy and I get the arse, well, there's 15 other clubs out there who might be looking for someone. We'll just see what happens."

Welcome to punt road clokey!!! We'll make a footballer out of you son.

I was just wondering why someone would write out the article again, surely you Collingwood supporters can dig $1.30 and buy the paper for yourselves.

But for whats its worth, he was unlucky to be dropped, and should get another chance soon.

maybe because it was in the Herald Sun and those in WA or SA or Queensland, unless the article was syndicated through papers in those states, which i doubt, then they wouldnt even know the article existed unless they went on the Herald website
