The board seems very quiet on Jason Cloke.

What is the scuttle but Trade? Dump? Keep

He always tries hard but the days of a 6foot 1 ruckman were back in Jack Dyer days. Not sure where he will play in the seniors

(that will get the tiger boys a little bit *&%$ed)

keep him!
Plays that 3rd man in better tha any player in the AFL and never stops trying unlike some at pieland.

He must stay in the backline all season and they must try to free him up, even if that means 10 in the backline, thats what we did when we were making grand finals.

I'd get howled down from nearly every Port supporter, but I wouldn't mind giving him a shot at Port. When he first came onto the seen he looked like he was going to be a superstar. i don't know whats happened since then, but he definately has talent, and with our ageing backline, he must be worth a shot.

Whilst not wanting to do a Luke Shakelton or Chris Curran to him.

I think he is the third tall to release Jimmy Clement to be a bit more creative.

He also has a big body and we seem to have a lot of small bodies. It might be a horses for courses thing like when Presti & Wakes are sitting on the bench with no match up.

He has proven late this year that he can sort of compete in the ruck around the ground.

I would like him to stay and comeback like Ryce did this year. :thumbsu:

keep him on the list on base payments

let him play at willi and just put pressure on wakes et al to keep performing

there is no place in our best 22 for j.cloke if we want to move forward but he does provide good depth & gives his all which is all u can ask for

Keep him and they will, get him bigger and stronger and fitter and he might cement a spot in the side down back.

Then we can release clement to a more offensive role on the half back line.

I can’t see a spot for him with Maxwell’s emergence. He is reasonable depth though. I suspect he’ll play his last year at Collingwood in 2006.

We need him for backline depth, and depth in general as he has shown a bit of flexibilty this year, even as a forward . If he has a great year it will be a bonus for us but if he doesn't it's no big deal.

Jason was only good at Collingwood when he was playing loose in the backline. Unfortunately having an extra in the backline takes away a player from somewhere else on the ground.
We should trade him and i believe the Kangaroos would be keen for his signature.

I'd probably take Norman. I haven't seen alot of him but he is more accountable for his man when in defence.

Many clubs would take him, but we are keeping him, he has a contract for next year, and we wont be delisting or trading him

No spot with Maxwell emerging hey Mark? Interesting theory that considering Wakes has about a year, max 2 left. Who will take his place? Walker?

Maxwell will only ever be a 3rd tall defender at best. Believe Jason can be more accountable in a Presti like role of total shutdown and not worry to much about the rebounding

i totally agree, Wakes has only 1 year left in him and we need to keep cloke to take over the main CHB position.. Needs to work on pace abit, which im sure he is aware of.

The last thing we need is either of those rejects from the only team in the comp worse than us. Keep him, at least he goes hard and gives his all, unlike half of our players.
