It has been announced that former St. Kilda forward Jason Heatley will be returning to Victoria after playing with Tasmania for 2 years. Whether he will be playing anymore VFL football, haven't been announced. Sad to see Heaters go, but I guess it was always coming, good luck to Heaters in whatever he will be doing after leaving Tasmania.

Jason Heatley will also face the VFL Tribunal for allegedyly striking a Port Melbourne player during their clash 2 weeks ago. I can't remember who he hit, but it was just on the local news.

The information I have is that it is primarily for family reasons (the remainder of the family live in Melbourne).

Will be a significant loss to Tasmania, but, it wouldn't surprise me that he is hunted by a lot of clubs up here.

Yeah, that's the reason he was leaving, I haven't heard if he was going to play on or not. There was a rumour that he was going to retire and move back to Victoria.

I think he was also booked on video for another incident just before halftime.

Jorden Doering is also apparently coming back to melbourne.
Ouch.

Heatley's loss doesn't hurt too much, he can barley take an overhead mark these days, will miss his experience though. Doering leaving would be a huge blow.
