Can never be anything but appreciative for norm smiths, and I'm a big believer in the phrase "anything before the word but doesn't matter".
But.
He signed a reasonably large contract in 2017 - $650k for 5 years. If I'm being absolutely generous I'd say he's been ok since that contract was signed but the facts are, he's been bloody average.

Suns should be chasing players just on the edge of good teams in the 23-28 age bracket that have the hunger to play footy not 28+ chasing money or a long deal.
Heppell is the biggest head scratcher he provides nothing.
JJ has nothing to prove and hunger only for one last payday.
Why wouldn’t you just give rankine the extra coin if as portrayed by the suns he’s only chasing money going to crows???
