If you were watching federal politics recently you would think that the biggest federal issues are;

African gangs - all the LNP - of course it is a state law and order issue
Peophile sentences - Peter Dutton - again a state law and order issue
East West link - a state infrastructure issue
Abortion laws - Kiwi Banaby - another state law and order issue

Yet the following issues;

Drought and water crisis - Kiwi Barnaby will not even issue his report - crickets
Environment - crickets
Energy policy - crickets
Newstart increase - crickets

But on the following issues they are all in;

Robo debt
Cashless cards
Compulsory drug tests - but only for the poor to get your cashless debit card
Their precious ******* budget surplus they can only achieve by stonewalling the disabled

AND WE VOTED THESE campaignerS IN

What you mean by "pretend he isn't racist" is actually, crap, Jason Wood actually does integrate himself with members of different communities, so my standard trope about the Liberal party racist boogeymen isn't going to work here, so let me make up that secretly he is in fact racist! The "rhetoric" of an MP on Facebook makes not one iota of difference to the Police - the idea that this very VIOLENT gang behaviour occurs, even in part, because of Liberal MPs "rhetoric" is so absurd.

You say he has no ideas on how to deal with them, but then admit 2 seconds later that er, actually, he has.

Something is decreasing because normal, ordinary Australians are crying out for this to be fixed, and eventually their screams are heard as small peeps by the far-left media and political elite that eventually decide to do something. As even they can't pretend any longer there is no African crime gang issue in Melbourne.

The point is they act like complete campaigners so they need something else to talk about.

And before you start harping on about gang violence being a real issue acknowledge that there are dedicated units within VicPol already dealing with it and before you then whine the they are not dealing with it fast enough, well we still have bikies too, we still have all manners of organised crime, why are the LNP not dog whistling about that?

I'd say Abbott won off the Boats (aka mainstream Tampa fear), but he didn't stop the boats, MSM just stopped reporting on them once they got power.
