By the way, those talking him up, he is not the second coming of Hey-Zeus himself after that one performance. He actually has done this at Richmond before, so lets see what he does for the rest of the season. He was complete arse for us for a few weeks before he was dropped. Well done today, but lets try not to annoint him as the next big thing.
Do we now have permission to call him a 'big thing'? :p

His popularity with supporters is reflected by the Schulzy chant at games
That chant vs the Bulldogs was spine-tingling.
Couldn't help but just sit back and enjoy it.

Have a look at Benny Nason's three goals against your mob or Farmer's game-sealer last night and you might change your mind.
Unashamed hindsight quoting bump...

What's he doing in hospital with a knee and shoulder issues...

Just a couple of minor procedures. A few of the boys had shoulders done, Brad and Aaron Young, and Gus had something done to his hip. There is an article on the club website that listed the players having end-of-season surgery. There weren't many and all were apparently minor, all good. :)

pretty scary that surgery in the off season is the norm

I would hate to have their bodies when they are 50

Look at some of the performances in the slowdown today. Admittedly they aren't taking it seriously, but we had some pretty recent players out there, compared to the players from the 90s they were struggling

It's a cover up.

He was actually crossing the railroad whilst going for a jog when the lights malfunctioned, he was hit by a train and also by a semi trailer coming the other direction on the road.

He was running it off when Burgess got wind of this and and called to demand he go to the hospital.

Tredders can physically no longer run now. Turns 36 on Christmas Eve.

I imagine he tended to both their wounds and carried them to safety before continuing on his way

Yes he would have tucked them both under the bandaged shoulder and cleared the road and tracks of debris with his other arm.

The thread needs pictures of Schulzy and his missus Amy. The woman that was prepared to send Schulzy off to Honk Kong last year for Lockhart Road 's Hong Kong GF bash, just one week before the wedding, until they both made the mutual call that it was cutting it a bit fine.

Priceless, REH.

Why Jay wanted to come up last year in the first place (and his lady was originally agreeable) I do not understand. A bit too much contact of head on turf, methinks.

This year he couldn't come either, because in GF Week all the leadership group seemed to have at least one arm in a sling.
