The main reason why Schulz has gone backwards this season is his kicking for goal.
In the past few years even is he got three shots on goal, he'd nail all three.
he doesn't get enough of the pill to be awarded the luxury of the kicking yips á la Richo.

this might sound silly tugg, but the main reason sarge has gone backwards in most of our estimations is that he hasnt gone forwards. In his fourth or fifth year a pass mark would have been 40+ goals.. He's been fit all year, no excuses why he hasnt taken the game by the horns, he's had the chance a couple of times and failed ea time. Im certain they'll shop him around whilst he still has some value with youth on his side

No doubt he's stagnated. Nevertheless, I still call that going backwards. In a business sense (and this is a business) if you tread water in the shallow end it's only a matter of time before your feet touch the bottom.

Schulz's workrate was good, presented a lot, threw himself at the ball regularly, picked up 8 marks which was an indication of his effort. His forward pressure stuff is way above what it used to be which was the key worry with him.

Nearly 50 AFL games.

Schulz frustrates the hell outta me. I love him and hate him at different times. You can see he has got it, just it only comes to the surface too rarely and had plenty of opportunity. Kinda like a taller Krakouer.
