I actually have worked for over 25 years full time, I had a workplace injury incident a couple of years ago and then started working again last year before having to quit again to be a full time carer for my mother who has Dementia.

I enjoy Rattling Baby John's cage about it though. Such a sanctimonious, self-righteous toad.

I have had hopes and hard fought dreams of mine crushed (like travelling overseas to Boston and Leeds) cause of what happened in the past, i am not to going trying to justify my enjoyment of playing video games, NBA and other such pastimes (which many other BF posters do btw) because Smackers is a humourless, and Sour and bitter cankersore who probably thinks corporal punishment should be brought back into public schools.

End of the day I just don't care, expect to say I genuinely pity him and all this internal rage and hostility he has inside of him..

Yeah fair call - the 'Australian dream' isn't readily available for your generation like it was for older generations. Couple that with your family responsibilities and I can see why just enjoying sports, video games etc is a fair outcome.

I do find it interesting when people get upset about how others lead their lives. "Dole bludgers" are such a small minority of welfare recipients and probably cost "hard working tax payers" a couple of dollars each.

Meanwhile, industries receive 10s of millions (if not billions) in subisidies while thumbing their noses at the tax office. Housing "investors" who make housing unaffordable for renters receive billions in subsidies too.

It's an example of just how well the ultra-rich and corporate interests have deflected attention away from themselves as being the cause of society's ills.

I earn a very, very decent wage and pay a fair chunk of tax because of it. I couldn't give a shit if a few people want to try and live on Centrelink for the rest of their days - it's a bloody difficult existence. I'm far more resentful of people in better positions than I am paying less into the system that allows them to be where they are.

And to get back on topic, Jazmania wouldn't have to rattle tins to get their stadium built if Tassal and the rest of the salmon "farming" industry paid their fair share of taxes!
