K MArt ones for 17 bucks do the trick. They're all the bloody same.

A few other posts below have gone against you with that. But when i've went jeans shopping i swear i could walk into one shop and see a pair of jeans for $50 then go to a place like K-Mart and see the exact same ones, except with a different label and they are half the price.

Would it be beyond the realms that 2 companies have bought the same design so-to-speak off someone, stuck their own brand on it and sold it to shops etc....?

Just cheap. The zip constantly stay down and they rip quite a bit. For like $90, there's a gulf in quality between a $130 pair of Levi's.

And for anyone looking for Levi's, go online. They retail for like $50 in America. Plus the 510s there are a lot skinnier, which I prefer.

lol if you don't like crotch rips, don't even think about dropping $200+ on a pair of nudies.

When I hear 'chinos' I think of pleated tan trousers. A quick Google shows that they refer to something a lot more casual these days.

I tend to wear jeans, sometimes cords in winter. Perhaps chinos are the go as an alternative. A lot of them look a bit scruffy though. I am not a big fan of the creased look. Also, a lot of them are bloody tight.

My Levi's have never actually torn. Some stitching has come undone on the back pockets, but when you've had them for 18 months and wear them at least twice a week, that's fine. Paying two-hunge for stuff that'll go out of shape/rip before you grow out of it is kind of pointless.

yeah but the whole idea of nudies was to wear them everyday and not wash them so they'd develop unique fades etc. the preference was for style over durability obviously and crotch rips can be easily repaired without much aesthetic difference.

obv there are better options out there, but nudies were pretty cool.

Does anyone know where can I get some good quality cheapish chinos that arent a skinny anorexic leg fit, yet good fitting (not too loose) for around $70?

buy chinos off asos.com, cheaper than anything you'll find here in australia and free postage to boot.

if you want shoes, look at oipolloi.com and cultizm.com. prices are inflated by a 17.5% VAT that non-EU customers don't have to pay so bear that in mind. fast postage too.

beeswax and the sand desert boots are awesome. some really comfortable shoes.

Would never buy jeans online, EXTREMELY rare that I can find a pair that fits well by trying them on. Have 4 pairs of jeans, one dark-ish blue, one not-quite-black (I think they're black, but I can wear a black shirt with them and it looks fine), one proper black and one somewhere between grey and light blue. Three of those pairs costed $30, the other $90 and they've all lasted fine.

I have nothing against chinos, they look good on some people but whenever I've tried them on I feel like a try-hard/homo. They just don't suit me.

Scored some Levi's Skinnies a couple years ago. Got on sale for $29 when then the rrp was $170. The money they make from a piece of fabric is obscene. I don't buy clothes unless they're on sale now.

What are people's preference on lengths? I used to like it longer so it creases down the bottom. But now I lean towards a more fitted approach.

Wouldn't buy clothes online either, I like my things to fit me perfectly and knowing size just isn't enough. The variation between companies and different types of pants is ludicrous. Personally I'm a bit of a Country Road fan and they have chino's for 99 bucks, skinny or straight leg. They are super comfy and just that bit smarter than jeans IMO.
